Food was wonderful. Greek specialties are a focus and excellent preparation and more than adequate serving size. Greek wines, desserts, and coffee complimented the entrees a perfecta. Friendly staff headed by Elias take a personal interest in clients' satisfaction. Strongly recommend!

A shockingly poor meal considering we are in NYC. The cold appetizer plate (taramosalata, cucumber, eggplant, etc.) was barely passable...you could do as well with the prepared versions found in your local supermarket. Nicely toasted pita bread, though. The low point was the fish...of all things! Greeks are best at fish, but my snapper and friend's flounder were waaay overcooked. There was also an unpleasant "dark meat" flavor to my snapper, indicating a perhaps not-so-fresh fish? The side of rice was bland but the side of salad was worse: utterly tasteless with cardboardy (mealy) tomatoes. You sure would never know it's August. Service was lame, a nice but totally inexperienced waitress, who left us sitting outside for long periods of time. Perhaps the extra long wait for the entree was owing to the extra (and unnecessary) time it took to reduce the fish to a paste-y dry powder. This place has the feel of what may have once been a good local eatery but has since fallen on very hard times. Clearly no one really cares and they are just going through the motions. If you like and know food, much less Greek cuisine...avoid at all costs.

The point of Greek food is the freshness and quality of the ingredients!!! I went there today and the service was great. the guys that work there are accomodating. I ordered the tsatziki sauce with pita, wonderful! At least they didn't mess that up! I also had the grilled baby octopus....not so great baby. I attempted to cut it with my knife, and when that wouldn't work I asked for a steak knife...still tough! Chewing one small piece literally took me 64 seconds. When I told the server that it was rubberry, he told me that octopus is like that?!! Has he not had good grilled octopus? For one I could taste that it was not a fresh piece, probably frozen then defrosted, then refrozen when it didn't sell the day before. Trust me, cause I love grilled octopus. Its a delicate, tempermental seafood. If you can't cook it, DON"T! I figured I would keep it light with some sauteed scallops. Maybe they don't understand what saute means? what i got was lightly breaded, pan fried, and smothered in a thick sauce. No garnish nothing! it didn't even look appetizing! The scallops weren't evenly cooked, and were small. I think they should serve giant scallops, lightly sauteed maybe with some tomato onions. I am not going in depth about the sweetbreads,

My husband and I went here for my Birthday and fell in love with their food. Food like this you would have to go to Queens or Greece to get because, there is no where in Manahattan like it. I can think of one other but, very fancy. This place is for anyone that doesn't mind a little music and vibe. It depends on what you are looking for; I was looking for good food, clean, a soulful atmosphere and good service. I got all that and more.

i dont care how good the food, the noise reverberates at a very high level. to me that loses points in value bigtime. service excellent. i had bought a friend who loved this place a gift certificate that went unused for a year as she was called out of state to care for ailing parent. at first, they did not want to honor it for her when she returned (there was no expiration date on certificate), but in the end they manned up.
