    Delicious fish!

You won't be disappointed if you choose a whole grilled striped bass or the little fried smelt. The Country Salad is enormous and delicious.

    Good Food/Fast Service

I went here with a friend thru a recommendation from his uncle. The portions were very large. The fried eggplant was delicious, and the price was good. I would go back. 2 big guys couldnt finish our plate both of us doggy bagged it.. haha...

    Subpar Greek Food.. seriously

I grew up in queens where delicious greek food is plentiful and always a good value (for the most part). Just ordered from Uncle Nick's.. The food at this establishment is overpriced. We ordered 2 souvlaki sandwiches. The chicken one that we ordered had no seasoning and the lamb one we ordered came with more beef than lamb for some reason. Dolmades on the salad tasted like they came from a can. Spinach pie was soggy and inedible. Basically they half-assed everything we ordered. Looking at this food, I picture a lazy chef who does not believe in quality control. I am shocked that anyone gave this place positive reviews. Do not order from this place!!

Uncle Nicks = good greek food

If you're looking for good street-style greek food in a dining-in setting, Uncle Nicks Chelsea is it. We ordered the gyro plate and chicken souvlaki and both were tasty and juicy. A side of feta and an extra serving of tzaziki were extra money but both were delicious and authentic. It's not cheap but if you are looking for good quick greek food, this is it.

    Disappointed again

This is my second visit to Uncle Nick's in Chelsea - again I could not find a reason for your 4-star category. Food quality - poor: Kefte were mostly filler, with no discernible seasoning. Sausages had a raw hotness, but no other seasoning; dandeliion greens were not stemmed and not seasoned at all. The lamb chops at my last visit, soon after the opening, were tough and not flavorful. No garnishing, not even a cherry tomato or parsley sprig, to make the plate attractive. Atmosphere: clean and airy, but paper placemats and napkins on a bare table are for diners, not expected in $$$ restaurants. Points deserved for NO MUSIC to intrude on conversation. Service: Improved over last visit, which had been rushed and impatient with a full house; points deserved for attentive waiters, at least with a half-full house. Value: Although portion sizes are generous, the poorly seasoned food and the unattractive table settings do not warrant $$$.

    Uncle Nick =Greek disaster

Anything but Greek, the bland first coarse reminded me of cooking 101 class in highschool. The rice distctly taste of UncleBens Box recipe. The spankopita platter consisted of mush greek disaster. The mixed grill , which wasnt grilled at all was unseasoned and terrible. The highlights of the meal was the tzatzici cucumber dill dip and the oddly cold but good mash potatoes that came with the "grilled" veggies. Go to Uncle Nicks for poor service and unoriginal high priced taste of "Greece"?

    Just OK

I had the gyro for lunch one day and it was so salty I cuoldn't stop drinking water for hours. They also were stingy with the tzatziki sauce and if you wanted extra you had to pay for it. The service was ok - typical NYC and the place was very loud.
