We ordered Chicken Tacos not ever eating at this place. I figured how can an "authentic" mexican place not have good tacos? It was so bland and tasteless. I wouldn't say write this place off but definitely don't eat the tasteless tacos unless you are into very bland foods. There was no flavor or spice. Yuck.

Uncle Moe's is really the closest CA taqueria style burrito experience+taste I have found in NYC. The rice pudding is super tasty, and it's quite rare to find Chile Colorado anywhere, let alone a casual burrito place like this.

I recently ordered a luncheon in for almost 25 people. The manager at Uncle Moes was so pleasant and helpful on the phone. The order was delivered to my client's office on time and they mentioned how nice and helpful the delivery person was. Everything I ordered came and was labeled as to what was in each taco or burrito, etc, which was so helpful. The food was a huge hit, very authentic and tasty. The entire experience was a home run and I can not wait to actually visit Uncle Moes and eat there again.

i cant get enough of this place. the menu is great and everything is nice and fresh. the food isnt over-spiced allowing you to taste each ingredient very nicely and the toppings/sauce bar allows you to kick up the flavor of your dish to your liking. among my personal favorites are the tamales (i like chicken the best), super tacos, and california burritos. the fried rice pudding is also worth mentioning as is the large selection of mexican sodas and tasty lemonaid. the atmosphere is another great thing about uncle moes. the walls are beautifully decorated with painted murals, pictures of west coast taco shops, and old psychedelic rock concert posters from the 60s/70s. there are several seating options including park style picnic tables with pull-up benches and cozy tables for two. moes always has music playing too that ranges from ranchera to metal to house which is always interesting and cool to take in during a meal. you just can't go wrong with uncle moes.

on the menu they list so many different burrito fillings, i just had to try. but was disappointed in that they had none of the fish fillings and only one kind of chicken ( i don't eat red meat). then when i asked for the peppers and onion filling that is listed on the menu, they directed me to the "fixin's bar" where they had raw onions and jalepeno's?!? as for the burritto i did get, it was huge but rather tasteless.

This place had great nachos and burrito's, but it really needs fresh jalapenos to top it off. It has a side bar with hot sauce and jalapeno's, but you cant get them put into your burritos and need to scoop them into a little container and do it yourself. When they fix this, i will go here even more often

Was craving Mexican food and decided to order from Uncle Moe's. Carne asada taco: great meat quality...overall good taco. Cheese enchiladas: too much cheese and double the amount of tortillas...this made for a mouthful. sauce not homemade. overall fair enchiladas. Rice and beans: good quality. Chips: store-bought...disappointment. Agua fresca: wonderful.
