Uncle Moe's

I used to like this place. The food was good. Prices fair. Until I was treated so rudely by management over a minor payement misunderstanding. He left me a nasty message saying he would never deliver to me again... over $2. I called back. I wanted to discuss the misunderstanding as I felt I'd been judged without a trial, but when I asked to speak to the manager, i heard him tell the person on the phone to put me on hold. Then they hung up on me. I'm the main person who's been getting orders from our office from them. He had potential decent business from us. He wont anymore.

We've been getting delivery from here basically weekly for years. We usually get the Watsonville burrito with pollo verde and it is delicious! Consistently, reliably delicious, and they get here in nanoseconds. Love love love.

Just like 'Happy Days', Uncle Moe's has seen better times. Ordered a platter & got a bland wad of chicken that no amount of complimentary sauce could really help with. There were some refried beans that were soft yet some were underdone which leads me to believe they were adding beans in at different times. Beans are the fundamentals of a mexican place. Rice was good, guac was fresh. Mistakes like this can be overlooked when the price point is a little lower.. but approaching $10 for lunch you begin to expect higher standards.

I don't normally write reviews but I feel the need to share this story! I order delivery for lunch all over Union Square and very often it is from Uncle Moe's. I heard of Uncle Moe's when I was walking around the neighborhood and passed by their location. I went in to check it out and mentioned I had moved to the area and the owner (I believe) offered me a free taco to try out their food. WOW! Since then, I've ordered several times for lunch and the food is always great. Today I placed a delivery order and ordered a Regular Peach Snapple. When my food arrived there was a Diet Peach Snapple instead of a regular. Not a huge deal but I don't really like Diet drinks. I called them to let them know and the woman on the phone apologized and said the drink would be on the way. Not longer than 5-10 minutes later, I received a call apologizing for the inconvenience and she told me the Peach Snapple was on the way as well as a Free Meal Gift Certificate worth up to $15 was on the way. I admire companies who provide excellent service and for that I'm sharing this story today and encourage you to order from this great place. I know I will.

skimped on the meat. used two tortillas to make the burrito seem bigger. roasted peppers were from a jar. "fresh" lemonade tasted like cleaner. the roasted tomato salsa is delicious though. ADIOS!

i've eaten at moe's a couple of times and always found it pretty good, made heavy use of the salsa bar and enjoyed the picnic-table atmosphere. but we just got delivery for the first time and it was not good - mushy, bland, and didn't taste as fresh.

i read the reviews and here it goes. small portions is kinda true, if you get a burrito with one or 2 meats you dont get to much, thats true. but for other ingrediants the size is fair resulting an a great quality burrito. the flour tortillas are always fresh. be sure to get the rice pudding empanada,(couldnt find the squigly thing.) may not be the most auhentic mexican but its def the best in nyc, that i tried. grat atmosphere nice staff all arround. be sure to get the free salsa sides they are great! enjoy (my mouth is watering)
