    Uncle Moe's

Very poor excuse for Tex-Mex. Stick with other places in the hood and you'll be much happier.

    terrible Mexican food

Having lived in San Diego and being only 30 minutes from Mexico, I am fairly picky about mexican food. I had a chicken burrito here and it was terrible. It was not fresh or authentic tasting at all. Defnitely tastes like a an american, canned , water-downed version of mexican food. I will never go back. If you are not picky and just want something quick and cheap maybe you will find this place bearable.

This is my favortie place to eat on 7th

I think that as far as tacos and burritos go Uncle Moes is in the higher echelon. They have great rotisery chicken as well. The burritos are huge and they have a smaller size alternative called the East L.A. incase some one is in the mood to eat more than one meal in a day. They guys who work there are great. They watch "futbol" at a very reasonable volume (if any) and joke around with eachother. They are very freindly and attentive but there is no wait staff. It works like a pizzaria. You pick up and pay for your food at the counter, grab a tabe (inside or on the sidewalk) and when your done you put your tray in the bus bin. I highly recomend trying the Horchata. It is an amazing rice drink made with cinamin and without milk. For those of you who are Lactose intolerant do not be decieved my the milky color. Horchata is a refreshing accompaniment to the spices of mexican cuisine. If you just want a beer they have that too as well as Patron if you fell like stumbling the 10 paces to the train station.
