we ordered the spicy tuna naruto, the spicy trio, cali roll, soup and salad. the fish was VERY fishy but no complaints elsewhere. the cali roll was standard and tasty. the salad was larger than ususal and the ginger dress was delicious. the miso was average. when you do take out and pay on CC you need to show your card to the delivery man...that was strange. overall, not a bad dinner, but there are definitely better sushi joints in murray.

My order last evening was my very last order from Umi Sushi. I've been both visiting & ordering from this restaurant for over 5+yrs. I even suggested it to other friends. The quality of the food is absolutely disappointing lately; it has definitely gone way downhill since my very first introduction to the restaurant..btw it used to be great! A few yrs ago I wouldn't think twice about ordering anywhere else. It might be a reflection of new management, I'm not sure, but...honestly, I've personally put up with enough ...the cut back on size portions of rice, green tea ice cream, begging for enough soy sauce..etc... providing them with elaborate instructions about my order because of a few mis haps in the past on previous orders..(i've been very tolerable) I've stopped ordering sushi rolls come to think of it because I feel the qaulity was/is better only when you are seated @ the restaurant... (not the same as a few years ago! not even close) and last night , I decided I had enough, especially after receiving my meal with a "huge" pile of what appeared to be spoiled, definitely not fresh ginger, which was extremely soggy, brown, mushy and tasted awkward ...i took a few nibbles in denile, but it was uneditable and I then threw it out in the garbage... the sashimi cuts were a good size, like always, but a bit tough & stringy ... the meal just didn't appear nor tasted fresh.... it's very unfortunate ! this would be my first review ever on any website.. it's too bad...

Fallen off a cliff. Ordered from here yesterday. Fish was so so, and not the best value. Screwed up the order, quickly sent replacement but hey, there is definately better in the area...

Umi is delicious. I have eaten at several several places in the city for sushi and nothing can beat their deals. The lunch special of 3 rolls for 10.50 is amazing. The menu has all the basic rolls you can think of and including the miso soup and salad for 10.50 your stuffed. I have had delivery and have eaten there. Service was amusing in a way but rude on the waitresses part. Take-out was fast and delicious when I ate it at the office. You can't beat this amazing lunch deal and if you love sushi you need go to Umi. It's affordable and delicious.

Gone downhill...I used to order from this place 1-2 per week. Was always reliable after working late...now its gone to the dogs, and to make matters worse their delivery guys gather round outside like some frustrated hells angels crew...saw them run a kid over on the sidewalk last week...wow.

I was underwhelmed. My friends had told me about the place when I first moved into the 'hood. Had delivery from there...Service fast, food blah...fish quality not the best....there is better thankfully close by...2/5...only as last resort...delivery guy gave me grumbled when I tipped him 20% fyi...poor showing.

I work in the area and dicovered Umi when I was walking by... This is definitely the best sushi in the area. Their fish is very fresh, delivery is fast and their prices are a great value! I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good sushi in this very hard economic times!!!!
