Japanese for Gentlemen?
We wanted to try something different and we did. But the food wasn't different as much as the atmosphere was. First, I will say the food was very good. The sushi was fresh and nicely prepared. Our waiter/doorman was friendly, helpful and very attentive. His suggestion on the wine was spot on. They are a bit pricey but not so over the top that we wouldn't go back. After all the sushi was fresh and very tasty. What was strange was the atmosphere - a Japanese restaurant in a "gentlemen's" club. We were very hesitant to go in once we realized the restaurant we were looking for was in a men's club. The last thing 2 business women want to deal with is scantily clad women and the men that attract them. However, the 2 seemingly different types of clientele are kept relatively apart. And, aside from the entrance, never really have anything to do with each other. The only reminder of the club was the far too loud dancelike music, which the waiter quickly turned down at our request. Overall, I would say it was an interesting and tasty dining experience that is worth trying if you can get past the dodgy entrance. We would go back.
