Delicious cupcakes!
I have very high standards when it comes to cupcakes. I decided to check this place out because a friend of a friend recommended it. Boy was I happy! I tried the banana bread cupcake, which had banana bread cake with cream cheese frosting. The cake was fresh and flavorful, and the icing was just right - not too light, not too heavy! I will absolutely be back for more!

great desserts
I walked into twi Little Red Hens this afternoon , what a delight. i had the Chocolate Chunk Cookie one word "delicious ". Great taste ,very moist and the hint of nuts just made it Wonderful! I also took home 2 pecan bars , also fantastic. Pecans caramel and choolate all on a shortbread crust i believe. I will be back to try some more desserts for sure!

i LOVE this place
This place is delicious! I live in nj and every so often when im in the city i will treat myself to a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing.. mmmm!! The people there are always nice and friendly, the bakery is adorable, and their cupcakes are amazinggg!!

This Place is IT!
Hands down, the BEST bakery in NYC. I don't want to say too much because it would stink for me if it turned into the all to familiar nightmare we all know downtown with ridiculous lines for bakery goods (and to think, those good downtown are just "eh"- more hype than anything). But this place is superb, unreal, too good to be true. Their marble cupcakes are heavenly- as well as their cherry bars and lemon bars. Also their cakes, the dark chocolate or the dc and raspberry. What can I say, I am taking advantage while its still one of the city's best kept secrets! If you love fine quality baked goods, and are a snob like myself with items that need to be made authentic and made from scratch, try 2LRHs.

All appearance, no substance.
Had a couple of cakes for Rosh Hashana dinner. They were gorgeous! Lots of oohs and ahhs when they sat center stage on the dessert table. Unfortunately, the beauty set the expectations too high. The cakes were dry and flavorless. Every single plate went into the trash with full slices of cake on it. Oh well. At least they were pretty!

best cakes ever!
We ordered 2 birthday cakes... one was dark chocolate w/raspberry buttercream. the other was red velvet. the cakes were perfect in every way. that said, the best parts about 2LRH are the superfriendly service and the cake decorations. the cakes are stunningly beautiful and ALWAYS elicit oohs and aahs. not cheap but worth every penny.
