Just another typical Saturday night in dreary Manhattan...but whats this?...there is a buzz in the air from 52nd 2nd...and it aint OPAL...Turtle Bay? Hmmm...I'll give it shot...or two. haha. i spent a great night alone at this Sutton place hangout out where two bartenders, Murray and Murph made me feel like a champion, tenaciously working through summer's sweltering heat in order to keep every thirsty young patron satisfied. Hats off to two of NYs finest bartenders!!! T-BAY is why I was born!

About two months ago I was walking on Second Ave. I heard live music and followed it to Turtle Bay. I have been there every Tuesday since. The two guys playing are maybe the best duo I have ever seen in the city and I am a live music junky. The people have all been great both staff and patrons and they have a great two for one special on Tuesday....I love it!

This place has a lively crowd during the week especially live music on Tuesday nights and great drink specials. The food is better than average pub food. The street level bar is relaxed atmosphere, cozy dining in the back, 2nd floor bar is huge! I hear they are very busy on weekend nights with DJ's and dancing. I'll have to check it out.

The bar is excellent. And in my experience, the weekday daytime bartender (noon-7pm) is the best ...friendly, attentive, and makes great drinks. You can see that he gets a lot of regulars because of that. You can also eat at the bar (or at a table) and the food is very good and reasonable. The atmosphere in the Daytime is relaxed and mostly working people (white collar and blue collar) - nighttime is louder with a younger crowd. Happy Hour is a mixed-age, nice crowd. They also have a really big room, with another bar, upstairs that is open at night with dance music.

Be sure to try this place for Happy Hour after work. I usually try to go to this place on Wednesdays, when they have the $1 beers. The bartender was really nice and the wings were great.

It could be worst... it could be better!!!! Some nice employees...
