Sleek sexy red walls and a very attentive staff only to be outdone by the quality of the dishes and the drinks. Every appetizer, entree and dessert is a feast for the mouth.

HIGHS: Very tasty dishes, wonderful specials, sleek yet comfortable decor - LOWS: Our waiter was a sourpuss, food was quite salty - NEUTRAL: while the food is very good, for what it is the entrees are a good 20% overpriced.

If you like Turkish food definitely try this restaurant. Their lamb dishes are very tasty.

Just had a ladies night out with several friends. Four arrived early and had appetizers and when the fifth showed up late our waiter was happy to prepare a separate plate of appetizers for our friend... The food was excellent and very fresh... The service was excellent and the value was unheard of... 5 people with drinks and appetizers - and tip $200! The ambience is exquisite - the red walls are sexy and everyone was extremely friendly... Going back with other friends in a couple of weeks - because it's a great value with a great ambience!

would anyone give this place a bad review? The staff is extremely nice, helpful, and patient with mispronounciation. The food is worth the price, and the ingredients are fresh. The only reason I can think one would say the food isn't good would be what you ordered. My first time there I ordered too many cream based/ heavy dishes.

The Turkish Kitchen not only has the best Turkish food, but the best food PERIOD in NYC! Everything from the appetizers to the main course (the Pirzola melts in your mouth and it will leave you wanting more) you can't go wrong with any selection on the menu. The service is fantastic and the friendly waiters are more than happy to teach you a few words in Turkish! Finally, you will rarely meet a nicer and more personable owner than Ilgar! The Turkish Kitchen is a must! The only drawback: they used to have traditional Turkish music on Tuesday nights. Bring back the band!

I can't believe that anyone would be disappointed with Turkish Kitchen..We are fortunate to live nearby and we go there often..Most everything we have ever ordered there has been absolutely delish..We've taken our family and guests there and have never had any complaints (except for our French friends who, I guess, don't like anything but their own cuisine). The service has always been attentive and friendly (contrary to someone else's report-no one ever pushed us to buy the bottled water). The decor stimulates your appetite-- beautiful red walls, Turkish wallhangings, comfortable chairs. Large parties are seated upstairs so if you want a more intimate dining experience ask to be seated downstairs. We've been to Turkey and this food is as good or better than an we had there.
