Great value/food for lunch
Great place for lunch. For $14.95, you get a salad, appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee. All their salads/appetizers are great - fresh and tasty. Service could do with a little improvement.

Decent food/great atmosphere
I thought this restaurant had decently good food, but the service and the kitchen were incredibly slow. It has a great atmosphere. Just don't go starving because you'll have a long wait for your food, even on a weeknight.

Ummmmmmmm!
I keep going back here and cant wait to go this Friday night , as well. Shepard salad, bread, hummus...kebobs...food is great! decor is pretty cool as well and I hear they have jazz on weekend nights as well..

This place has to be the best food in NYC, if any person needs a place to go eat in the city, I always refer them to this place and ask if I can come too, lol. Its great for lunch and dinner. Not only is the food awesome, but the presentation is even better!

great
I've been here now a few times and each experience has been excellent. had a birthday dinner in march for 11 people and everyone loved their meals...also, service was fantastic. they didn't rush us, and they handled the large party professionally. middle eastern food is one of my favorites and this place definitely delivers. highly recommended.

Turkish Kitchen? no way
I love Turkish food and especially appetizers, but I could not believe that I was in a Turkish restaurant with that poor service. No way, try other Turkish restaurants.

Great food, poor service!
I eat here a lot because it’s in my neighborhood. The food is excellent but the service is poor. The waiters seemed to have all graduated from the Istanbul school of attitude. The last time I went there was for a friend’s birthday. I called ahead to see if I could bring a cake and they said yes but they would have to charge me $40. For my own cake? Ok, I asked them if they had cake. They said no but we can put a candle in the baklava. So we had no cake. However, we did have two waiters sourly milling around our table the whole time waiting for us to finish a dish so they could grab it. I guess it’s my own fault that I keep going back
