Bleh
Food was alright, but probably the service was not good. The staff wasn't just inattentive, it was rude. With all the options in NYC, you can probably do better.

Great service, but too expensive
Very good service, but the food and the atmosphere are not worth the money. Ali Baba has much better food for half the cost.

There's always a line for this delicious Turkish food. Especially love the appetizers and the red walls.

Keep coming back for the great value
This place just has one of the best balances of food quality, price and service. I would expect food of this quality to be 30% higher priced in a smaller restaurant. Service is generally excellent, though they can get really busy, even upstairs. I enjoy the decor as well. Drinks are big, not expensive, and get the job done. The appetizers are amazing and the entrees are great, such as the whole baked branzino that would easily run you $32 somewhere else. I take out of town friends here a bunch who can't quite afford the whole celebrity chef restaurant tour that's a fun part of visiting NY. I also eat here with my girlfriend and sometimes take out lunch when I'm in the area.

Amazing food and Martinis!
We had a pre-fixed menu and were amazed by the choices. Each of the courses were excellent - best was the meat dumplings in yogurt sauce. I had a pomegranate martini that was generously poured and was delicious while being stiff. Highly recommend this place!

Loved it! We can't wait to return!
My family had a reservation at 6pm and were promptly seated. The service was excellent and food was delicious. While they didn't offer a pre-fix that night, it was well worth it. I'm looking forward to returning another evening or even for brunch. I highly recommend this place. Don't foget to order dessert, too! :)

Superb !
Surprised to read the reviews that down the service. I guess we hit on the best way to deal with this - go for the bruch (a magnificent spread) and go EARLY - we were there at 11am on Sunday, and it wasn't crowded yet (the place was full when we left). The food was not only wonderful, it was beautiful. And the only service we needed was coffee, tea and water, and that was fine. The waiters were friendly and helpful. Would go again in a heartbeat !
