Great pies for a good price!
I walk by this little joint everyday and I'm glad I stopped by today. The pies are simple home style pies that remind you of home. Great flavors and great prices. I will be coming back for more!

who knew meat pies were so tasty?
A very small, unassuming restaurant with a few tables and counter stools, the only variety I found at Tuck Shop was on the meat pie menu. Luckily, I was looking for exactly this. The meat pies varied from the more traditional to fusion-style cuisine (though given the diversity of people who currently live in Australia, whose fusion is anyone’s guess). I stuck with the so-called ‘traditional’ beef meat pie. The pie had a familiar pastry crust but a surprising inside. The minced meat with gravy was very juicy, yet the meat, not the gravy, remained the overwhelming flavor and texture.

Good spot for a cheap lunch
The pies are good, wouldn't say amazing. But the price is definitely right. You can grab a pie for 5 bucks. Nice lunch option.

I love this place!
This is a teeny tiny hole in the wall of a place, but the savoury pies really hit the spot! The brussels sprouts are great too. My only wish is that they had a larger beverage choice. Otherwise, I've no complaints; and I've come here for lunch many times.

zehr gut, mate!
On a stroll I stopped in for a traditional beef pie, and a lamb and veggie pie for $5 each. Both fresh, tasty and excellent flavors. Lamb was minty, beef had hint of spice. Crust was toasted but not thick. Decent size but not big-- might need two to fill a hungry stomach. Can't wait to try the other menu items.
