Chinese a go-go
As long as you don't Go here! Last night my friend and I chose to come here expecting to enjoy a fine meal in this once upscale restaurant...certainly the prices would suggest that. But the quality is hardly commensurate with the price and you almost feel that the waiters know it and laugh at the guests. The Grand Marnier shrimp were drenched in the sauce to camouflage the hard, frozen shrimp, while the meatless Peking duck was wrapped in doughy, barely cooked pancakes. Nice ambiance in the decor, so stay for a drink and eat elsewhere!

If you are looking for the best chinese food in NYC for the sophisticated palete, this is the place. The Peking Duck is the best around!

Not a typical Chinese restaurant
Although the food is average, the overall atmosphere is great. This is not a typical, almost stereotyped Chinese restaurant where cheap food is served in a lousy, crowded smelly place. To the contrary, this is a great place to bring your clients or business partners over. But it definitely is not an ideal place to dine with your family members. The overall value (quality of food and enjoyment v. money spent) is relatively low.

Noodle shops do better
Had the Peking Dinner for two. The Shark fin soup was no more then left over fish in broth. The dumpligs where frozen comercial. there was no presentation of the whole duck, over fried skin was served on pancakes, no scalions ,cucumbers, extra hoi sin sauce. The next course was about 1 to 2 oz. of overcooked duck slices with green peppers and a lot of spicy noodles. The carmalized apples for desert where a joke. I lived 4 years in Taiwan and the street vendors there prepared a better meal.

The PEKING DUCK is to die for..
This place is amazing. I've been there a few times now and have a great experience every time. The service is fast, the staff is polite and very helpful when it comes to choosing a wine, and the food is fresh and different. The peking duck is a PERFECT main course and reason enough to try the place out. The atmosphere, everything... totally worth the money...

Too much for too little
Our order was delayed. We were not served our appetizer until long after other tables that came after us were almost finished. When I complained, the bus boy was sent, not the captain. We paid up and left. No regrets were expressed by the captain or anyone else. This is an insider's place...Fine with me.

Best Chinese food in Manhattan
I know that the title is bold, but so is the food at this place! I recommend the sampler as a main course. The chicken, beef, dumplings and seafood were amazing. The food was so fresh and the tastes so unique. This is unlike any Asian restaurant we had ever been to. The food is pricey, but the service is superb - neither pretentious or pushy. They knew when to stop by our table and when to leave us alone. If you want a great experience in asian food, we highly recommend Tse Yang. Note: Also great for people watching.
