We've been going here for the past year and really enjoy it. All of our experiences have been great. We often bring picky out-of-towners to this spot so they can try a new cuisine and they have all been very happy with it. It's true that it is dimly lit but once your eyes adjust all is well. The staff is warm ad friendly and the food is healthy and delicious. Be sure to try the tsampa drink. We love it as a dessert.

My title says it all, it was awesome! It's a bit dark, but all the rest was awesome. I had the chicken hand made noodle soup. It was a very chunky noodle soup. It was very delicious but I tired my friend's rice dish- and i realized that was even better. I loved the atmosphere. It's very dark and the only source of light is the candles. I find it very romantic, Great cozy place- good for any night out.

I've bee to this restaurant twice. The barley milk shake is delicious. Can't remember the name of the dishes I tried but both times I went with different people we all ordered different dishes and shared. Everything was amazing. A bit salty but really good.

I only live a block or so away from Tsampa, but for some reason I've never decided to venture inside. My mistake - the lighting and atmosphere is quite nice, the service is reasonably friendly and mostly unobtrusive...but the food, my god, the food...it was quite delicious! It was one of those meals that left me content but not overly full. I highly recommend you give it a whirl...

The food is very good, probably the best Tibetan restaurant in NYC. I have tried others but this one overall is the best. Try it you will love it.

The ambience is tranquil and zen, but the super dim candle lighting is more suited for bar than restaurant. We couldn't see what we were eating!!! The food was fresh, but the steamed momos were bland and boring, would have been better with a warm garlic or curry sauce or even a ginger soy sauce, not the chili sauce that was served (which was too spicy). Spicy shrimp was very nice. I'd try this place again. Ask for an extra candle at your table.
