I have been to many tibetan restaurants, and I have to say this is one of my favorites. Very warm and inviting atmosphere-very zen. Romantic if you want to take a date... or just to have a nice quiet relaxing dinner. The food is very light, fresh, YUMMY and all organic. The food does take awhile to arrive after you order, so be patient- it is well worth it (I am assuming it takes so long because it is all cooked from scratch- it tastes that way!!)

I am not sure what everyone was finding so wonderful about this place. Now granted this was my first time eating Tibetan food, but I highly doubt that it is supposed to be that flavorless. I ordered the spicy shrimp, which was advertised as cooked with ginger and garlic. It had zero flavor and it took me ten minutes to flag down a waitress for salt, pepper and lemon. My friend ordered a salmon dish, which was pricy and had only two one inch pieces in the entire dish. It too lacked in flavor. The sake was pour quality as well, and though the atmosphere seemed warm and inviting at first, felt more like a trendy bar. I would stay away.

I read the reviews for Tsampa on this website and decided to go for a try. Both me and my wife loved the place. The atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. We are vegetarians and the vegetarian selection was great too.

I had planned a Valentines day trip to Tsampas - I wanted to surprise my girlfriend and treat her to something that is as special to me as she is. I didnt tell her where we were going, only that it was someplace different. What a pleasant surprise! After arriving and enjoying a wonderful meal (try the hajiki!), I have to say that Tsampas fits the bill to a tee - it is both special and someplace "different". Food, service, atmosphere and value were all outstanding. If I was forced to give one negative - and this is quite minor- I would say that it's a bit too dark inside for comfort, however that fact is quickly forgotten once the food arrives and you are transported to a culinary dreamland.... :^P ~Highly recommended~

This is such an amazing veg-friendly place both for its food and atmosphere. It feels like a mental vacation just entering the restaurant.
