Trufa

We love, love, love Trufa. It's a great addition to the neighborhood. Their "Trufa Burger" is amazing as is the Basil Pesto Chicken Melt. The mains, fish, pasta, chicken and steak are all fabulous. Also, delicious desserts. I love that's its a small, family owned place, and you can tell they know what tastes good. Great quality for good price.

Good food, most of the time. But the food is a bit inconsistent, sometimes the fries are great, other times they very very disappointing. We often order their burgers and sandwiches and they are good. Burgers tend to be on the rare side which is ok with us, but was not for some of our guests. All in all, we order because it is close and there aren't many other options up here in Hamilton Heights.

This place has my favorite burger in Hamilton Heights. The Trufa burger comes with a truffle aioli that makes the Berger amazing. Not to mention they cook it to a perfect Medium temp. Te atmosphere is great, it can be a little tight when it's crowded but that's to e expected. Also their soups are surprisingly delicious. Their new England clam chowder doesn't seem like it is going to be very good because it's a bit runny, but it is delicious.

This place is only ok. The service was very good; staff was nice. The ambiance is relaxed and they let you stay there as long as you like. But the bathroom smells like a moldy swamp and the dining room temperature is all over the place. The food is probably the least amazing part of the experience. It's just meh. There's nothing great about it. We had sandwiches and salad (by the way, when the waiter asks if you want a choice of salad or fries with your sandwich, it's extra....they don't tell you that). The salad was DEFINITELY not worth it: a half cup of old lettuce, some dried out grilled corn (weird choice), and dressing. The sandwich was good but nothing you can't make at home for less or buy at any bodega. This place was fine...nothing too disappointing, but you might as well stay home, save your money, and cook for yourself.

Trufa is an great addition to the area, and we're happy to report that the food is great! Our favorite dish is the Fried Chicken with potatoes and vegetables. We order in more often than we go out: the delivery is very quick, and the food does well in transit. We always ask for extra gravy with our fried chicken, and invariably the lid of the gravy container has a note or decoration (like a drawing of a chicken or"enjoy, darlings!") that makes us smile. Please visit Trufa, we're sure you will like it and we want them to stay in the neighborhood!!

I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal & I've eaten there about 4 x per month since they opened. I love the burgers, oven roasted chicken, mahi mahi, salads. I could go on & on. It's a little small-I try to go early in the evening to snag one of the coveted window seats. The food is affordable & delicious. I love this place & they always remember me whether I go in to eat or have it delivered. Finally, West Harlem has a great restaurant!

What a gem. The food is terrific--so far my wife and I have had the pleasure of tasting...delicious gnocchi with a short rib wild mushroom ragu, a terrific burger, amazing chicken wings (and hot!), some terrific fish dishes (blackened salmon and some nice mahi mahi), a blackened shrimp dish...I could go on. Oh, and we take our 5 month old baby. The service is super-friendly and homey. So glad they are in the neighborhood.
