There are a lot of Chinese food options in the neighborhood, but Triple Z is my favorite. The quality of their food is impressive.

I have been going here for a few years already. It just stays the same- great. same waiters, too, who smile and chat when they get to know you. Never rush you out like in manhattan chinatown. prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. food is always hot and not oily. they pride themselves for using less oil and say so. only a few tables but hardly ever have to wait because of other places close by. lots of chinese customers who like to talk. there is no "atmosphere" here, just very good food, friendly, clean, affordable and so many dishes to chose from, you never have to eat the same thing twice, if you don't want to. lunch specials, free hot tea and full takeout menu up front. It's small but the best.

If you're seeking atmosphere and elegance, read no further. If, however, you're seeking what many consider the best, freshest and most reasonably priced Chinese food on Avenue U, then visit "Triple Z." That's saying a lot too, because there's dozens of take-out and dine-in places on this Avenue now, but none match the quality here. The staff can be either remote or charming, but don't be intimidated. If you stick to the menu, communicate clearly or simply point to the menu item, you won't be misunderstood. Must Try: Roast Duck, Roast Pork, Soy Sauce Chicken --- all handpicked and sliced/chopped in front of you. What will cost you $30 here will cost you $80 in Bay Ridge or the City!
