    Smallportion of mediocre food

I have never seen smaller portions. The chicken special was tiny and the dinner salad that was ordered was sparse. When an entree in a pub costs $14 it should be a decent portion. Will be back for a beer before a game at the Garden but will not eat.

    Great atmosphere

Been there last week and was surprised to see the place was packed at this time of the year. Great to have a beer with your friends and in the meantime watch a game or play your favorite music on the jukebox

    Philly cheese steak? Nice try!

Beer is good. Waitress was friendly if not attentive. Food was poor -- I only ordered a Philly cheesesteak, but it just came as a slab of the meet slices with some melted cheese on top covered in tons sweet onions on some type of roll. I would go there again to knock back a beer, but would never get any food.

    Nothing Special

There are three places practically identical to this within two blocks, and none of them are particularly good. They all have average food, acceptable prices, and nothing to really set them apart from any pub in America.

    Disappointed...

After reading all the reviews here I was very excited about checking this place out. I agree that the prices are very resonable for new york, but the food was just average. The vegetable soup was pretty good, but nothing else really stood out. The disapointing part was the service. Our entrees came out 5 min after our appetizers, we weren't even half way through it. We had to rearrange plates and glasses to get things to fit. Nobody bothered to clear the table or assist us. Fortunately, my entree came out incorrectly so I had time to finish my app, while they fixed the entree. I never recived the glass of wine I ordered, but was charged for it. The also charged for refills of ice tea? I've never ever been charged for refills of ice tea, soda I understand, but ice tea? I thought ice tea refills were free? When I asked about it, the server just shook her head, like "ya we charge." Maybe it was an off night, but if they had just payed a little more attention or even apologized for one of the mistakes, I wouldn't be writing this. Just thought I'd put it out there.

    Great Choice

My family and I had dinner here (for the first time) last night. I actually chose Triple Crown after reading other reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. The food was terrific (and extremely reasonably priced for being in NYC). The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. The decor was quite pleasant. Lots of beautiful wood and very comfy seats. My husband and I travel to NYC approximately every 2 -3 months, to see a show and visit with family. We'll definitely come back to Triple Crown for more great meals!

Proper Irish Pub with good food to boot

I work in the neighborhood and either order lunch for delivery, or stop by for a pint and a snack after work about once a week. The food is wonderful but a tad on the pricy side. Never had any complaints though so it's well worth it. Atmosphere is quaint, proper wooden bar and booths, and background music is just that, background music, so you can still chat with friends or colleagues over a pint. They don't have Stella on tap much to my dismay, but they have several other worthwhile selections. Overall it's a great place to eat or hang out.
