Loved it! Big party down in the lounge, over 20 people used with good restaurants, everybody loved the food and service. Really have to try it. I am sure you will go again.

Chose Tribeca Canvas for dinner mostly because of its location. What a delightful surprise! Each dish we had was unusual, delicious, and beautifully presented. Although it's not cheap, given the quality of the food and service, it's more than reasonable. Especially loved the shrimp nachos and the hamachi tostadas. Can't wait to return.

Wow Chef Morimoto! Bold move on the open of Comfort Food your style! I have to say, I was nervous but it all worked for me. The new Spring menu blew me away! Minestrone Soup with tofu?! Spicy with fresh Spring vegetables.. Rice Cakes with Foie Gras?! Who would've thought.. Service rocks too, very friendly as all NY restaurants should be. Thank you Chef!

I went to Tribeca Canvas with a group of girlfriends last saturday night. The place is amazing. I live in the neighborhood and have been waiting for a new fresh restaurant to open up. The bar scene is fun (so much so that I will be back for drinks and small bites at the bar. I also heard rumors they are opening a lounge in the basement) and the the food was to die for. It has a really fun vibe and the crowd was great. My favorite dishes were the Lamb Buns, Rice cakes, Shrimp Nachos and the Mac-n-Cheese (served with a poached egg). I have been thinking about the food since we left and really can't wait to go back and try more dishes. My only complaint was everything was so good that I couldn't stop eating!

Okay, I'm not 35 years old (what this restauant seems to appeal to), but I do treasure the time I can spend with old friends who I havent seen in some time, and we spent the evening shouting at one another to be heard! The music is deafening! The prices are high for what they are serving, not to mention that after I got home I was hungry and had a 2nd dinner later. I ordered the Tuna Tostada (okay), and the Duck Duck Cous (where is the duck, 4 tiny pieces of duck on cous cous for around $ 25? you've got to be kidding. This is a restaurant for the "hipsters" that see and want to be seen. Average food, mediocre service. The restaurant is stylish and beatiful but I would rather spend my $ 75 - 100 on great food and be able to hear my guests. I will never attend any place like this again and it's ashame I have to call first to ask about the noise level. My friend had a device to test the sound level on his cell phone, it read 94! That is way beyond a normal level, something you would hear in a noisy bar or nightclub.

Tribeca Canvas has great little dishes. The lamb ragu bun is recommended. Many of the dishes are really good. The place is lively, the decor is nice, the service great. It will surely be the hottest restaurant in Tribeca.
