I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m what one would call a picky eater; however, I am very selective about where I go to eat. I stumbled upon Trend when first moved to NYC this past Fall. I love a variety of food exotic foods to the plain and simple every day entrees. Do I have a favorite cuisine? Not necessarily, because what it truly comes down is comfort food is comfort! First arriving at Trend it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon I figured this was a good sign. The place is very inviting. It is bright, warm, and flawlessly clean and the wait staff was very friendly and moved quickly. A big coffee addict with a dairy problem they had soymilk! Being a fitness model and dancer though I adore pancakes, waffles, French toast and the entire fun griddle treats, I don’t like to overdo it with white flour. Not a problem! Trend has whole-wheat batter and multi-grain French Toast. Not only that but they taste better than ANY classic or high-end brunch I’ve ever had. Not to mention it’s completely affordable! Get them any way you want chocolate chips, bananas, berries, peanut butter, apples, Nutella, walnuts, Greek yogurt, granola, honey it’s like making a Sundae! Besides breakfast there really is something for everyone and anyone here. Their meats, fish, and breads are so fresh making sandwiches, especially burgers, so delicious. Even fried foods like French fries or chicken wings are so tasty but won’t give you that heavy feeling when you get done eating. Do you really want to treat yourself? Go to Trend you can find ANYTHING you want ANY WAY you want, and you’ll walk away full satisfied with a great burst of energy! Finding the menu too big? The wait staff is especially knowledgeable and can help waiver where your taste buds might be leaning towards. The owner even took the time to introduce himself to my girlfriend with his glowing smile and optimistic attitude. He told us all about the place - not even open a year! Trend was already a blossom! This place is a n NYC gem go to Trend!

Finally a place to eat great food! Did not disappoint me one bit. Oh did I mention large portioned meals. Desserts were fresh and tasty.

I recently dined there with friends. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was classy for a diner. The booths were upholstered in fabric and the lighting was appropriate for an evening dinner with friends. The food was very generous in portion size and exceptionally well prepared. A seafood salad that one of our friends had was declared "The best salad I ever had!" I have already gone back for take-out.

Unknowledgeable and kind of rude waiters. Strives to be a fancy restaurant but just an overpriced diner

We live half a block away and thought it was great to finally get a diner. The food is frozen food thrown in a fryer. The onion rings are minced onions, the fries are frozen and the calamari are soggy and don't even come with the chipolte sauce mentioned on the menu. For a diner, it is WAY overpriced and not worth it. We ordered delivery and live half a block away and the food was ice cold.
