This place has absolutely the best fresh, simple, and homemade pasta. The restaurant is not trying to be trendy or hip; just trying to serve authentic Tuscan fare. I go almost every Sunday evening for a serving of the special pasta of the day, which has never disappointed me. The staff at Trattoria could not be friendlier, making sure eveything is to your liking. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants a heartwarming and friendly experience--something hard to come by these days.

My husband and I eat here several times a year. In fact, we are taking friends for dinner tomorrow night. The staff is wonderful and the food is consistently good (try the fetticini with truffles - it's not always on the menu, but they'll make it. It's divine!). We have never had a problem getting a table, yet it does a steady business. You never feel rushed or hovered over. Just a great little neighborhood place.

Got: App: Sauted Spinach, Grilled Portobello, Entree: Ceasar Salad with grilled chix, and Torteloni in Bolonese (special) Drink: 2 glasses house pinot, 2 glasses house sav blanc. Dessert: Tartufi Paid: $98 +tip Service: Slow but kind of nice, adds to the atmosphere, attentive when they do come around. Just kind of found this place walking around and was pleasantly suprised. Food was fresh and came out of kitchen quickly. Can really take your time and enjoy a night with good company. Get dessert. Thought this was great value for quality. Ceasar Salad was nothing special. Everything else met or exceeded expectations. Manga!

We've been to restaurants all over Italy and also all over NY. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the City. The wine list is well-priced, the ingredients are the freshest and the value for the money is incredible. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a real Italian experience in NY.

Went here with my cousins from out of town. Excellent food. Great decor. The waiters were knowledgeable about the menu but the services was a bit slow. Still made for a great evening.

Trattoria Toscana is a welcome addition to the dining scene. This place has great food at a very good value. The menu certainly offers a little something for anyone, pasta, seafood, steak, veal, etc. Fresh pasta such as the seafood linguine is a can't miss. The chicken paillard is one of the best I've ever had, thinly pounded chicken topped with fresh greens and a great balsamic dressing. Try the housemade sausage with cannellini beans and you will feel like you are eating in a small Tuscan village. Try this place once and I guarantee you will be going back!

A wonderful place to experience the authentic cuisine of a Tuscan trattoria. The antipasti makes your mouth water for the first course. The prosciutto is the best I've had. The polenta is great. Pasta, soups, and risottos made with the best ingredients. Fresh porcini, alba truffle, fresh seafood, and house made pasta. The best meat sauce in Manhattan. The veal chop is the best value in town, and as good as Babbo or Il Molino at a fraction of the cost. The arista (roast pork) is sooo good ...close your eyes and you feel your in a small town outside of Florence. Good wine list. Finish with desert, and then a fabulous coffee and grappa. Life is good. The wait staff needs a little work. More attention to detail is needed to complete a wonderful experience.
