The food wasn't bad per se, but I've had better and for lower prices in very nearby neighborhoods. We had the octapus (a little over cooked, and also with something on it that made it soft) Mussels (Pretty good really), Salmon (Salty - and i love salt, so that's saying something. The potatoes tasted homemade but were way too stiff) and Carbonara (Very good). While we were there they were setting up for a party and the music was uneven while the DJ tested levels. I found the service OK if uneven, though I can't pinpoint why. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, but I've had much better in the same price range or less.

Wow. I was impressed. This in Inwood? I'm critcal and was delighted to find this great restaurant. I want them to succeed as we NEED them in the neighborhood. No other white linen Italian to be seen for miles. I went on a Sunday night with a friend. Neither of us were too hungry, but we wanted to try this place. Everything is thoughtful. The decor, ambiance, music, lighting, uniforms, service and the food & wine! Traditional menu, but everything is done to perfection. Mildly pricey for Inwood, but reasonable portions. I have the pasta carbonara, which was rich, flavorful, decadent and rewarding. The starters are thoughtful, but the foccia was a bit underseasoned and soggy. Wine was wonderful and served in a decent glass with heft. They have an actual chef on the premesis and it makes all of the difference. Service was very good and friendly. Our waiter, Yonie had a pleasant smile and was attentive, but not obtrusive. The owner was present and thank us on our way out. We will definitely return as I need to try the entire menu! lol
