    love the body part sculptures

This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC - I always bring out-of-towners here and they love it. The relief sculptures of giant body parts are a scream, the atmosphere great and the staff are wonderful. The Maitre d is very friendly and even treated us to champagne. Some recomendations: if they are in season, get the grilled artichokes as an appitizer- they are fantastic!! Also, make sure you are seated downstairs. Upstairs was a little noisy and filled with families and young children. OH, and as an added bonus, on 2 occasions I have seen celebrities at the Trattoria: Usher (after he performed in Chicago) and Joaquin Phoenix.

    Consistency is the name

We go to this restaurant at least once in two weeks and take all our visiting friend here. Their Pizza Margerita (for the table!!!) is delicious. and we guarantee that no other place on earth makes better CANOLI ! !!!!!

I have eaten here 3 of the 6 years I have been to NY. It is one of the best places to eat. We are never disappointed by anything we order. The ravioli is to die for! And my sisters practically licked the plate where their cannoli's once were. Great atmosphere! I highly recommend it.

    Always great

Having not been here in years, I was a little hesitant to go, but wow...a GREAT meal. Our waitress could not have been sweeter and when we told her that we were all celebrating something over the weekend..she brought us champagne with our dessert. For appetizers, we had all different salads. Portions were big and everything was great. For main courses, we had the tuna (soooo good) and the Veal Parmasean. So huge that 2 people could have shared, but they did not and every morsel was eaten. For dessert, the Cannoli..yum! I would highly recommend this restaurant before a show or anytime.

    Good food, unpleasant experience

The food at this restaurant is delicious (I especially enjoyed the calamari appetizer), but dinner at this restaurant was unpleasant. The service was not good, the dining room is very tightly packed, and the bright lighting is glaring. For the price of a dinner here, one could get a similar meal and much better experience at a number of other restaurants.

    Love it!

I have eaten here on several occasions, alone and with groups. Each time, I have had great service and the food has really impressed me. The restaurant can get crowded and a reservation makes a big difference. The lively atmosphere really adds to the experience. The Filleto di manzo is amazing. I also suggest the margarhita pizza as an appetizer to share. I once went alone twice in the space of about a month and the maitre'd remembered me and sat me right away. Pretty impressive for such a busy place. I always tell visitors to check it out.

    Really enjoyed it!

Even though we live in Manhattan we had never tried it before, but we dropped in recently after Carnegie Hall for a light supper and were quite pleasantly surprised. We shared a large antipasto (which I believe is the same as Fiorello's) and a couple of excellent appetizers. The service was professional, the atmosphere lively and the room a lot of fun. We'll certainly go back some time soon since all the food looked very good.
