I was taken here by a friend a few weeks back and have since returned twice! It is a bit romantic, but the overall ambiance is very well done. The waiters are more than accomodating and the menu is always changing. The kitchen cooks everything to perfection and its honestly a treat every time we go! There could not be a better place for reasonable prices....A must if you live in the neighborhood or are just looking for a great meal!!!

After reading some of the reviews we decided to give Trattoria Belvedere a try. We walked over from our Murray Hill hotel and were warmly greeted by the owner. The owner came over and helped us pick out a great bottle of wine, and then read off about 15 specials for the night. We decided to go with the breaded and baked clams which were really amazing. I ordered the Lobster Raviolis and my boyfriend got the veal with herbs in a white wine sauce. Both were out of this world. The best part of the dinner was the desert special they had which was chocolate covered vanilla and chocolate ice cream with cherries cut into slices like an orange. Ill tell you, it was fabulous. We highly reccomend this place for anyone looking for a romantic dinner or even a night out with friends. A+

I had a long story prepared about NY restaurants, but skip it and just go to the Trattoria Belvedere for a real New York dining experience; outstanding in every way. For the buck, the food quality, service, ambience without the pretense. you can't beat Belvedere, with open french doors to the sidewalk, linen and stemware, wine and beer bar, all reasonably priced. We went back a second time late evening just for dessert and nightcap. Guys, try the tenderloin with brandy/cream/peppercorn sauce. Ladies, try the lobster ravioli. Bon Appetit! Viva la Belvedere!

I came here with my boys to have a low-key thursday night dinner based on my friend ray's suggestion. first, the food was great and wine was reasonably priced, food as well. although lobster ravioli was a little too al dente, osso bucco and crabmeat pasta were delicious. however, it was too darn romantic for 3 dudes. we decided to scrap plans to see brokeback mountain, and instead went down the street to fitzgeralds and got plastered drinking whiskey and beer.

Love Belvedere! Just went here with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. Great food with GREAT prices. Fresh pasta, great sauces! Get the Caprese appetizer...softest mozzerella you'll find! Amazing service and atmosphere. Very romantic and comforting. I would write more, but shhhhh...don't want everybody knowing about this place!

One of the great things about this place is a nice wine list that is modestly priced. One of the not so great things is that it has only pedestrian wines by the glass. That said, I've never had a bad meal there and have had several superb ones. There are always many specials and the fish dishes are outstanding. At the right time of the year you can get grilled baby octopus - the best in the city. It is a romantic neighborhood restaurant that gives you a great bang for your buck.
