casual yet nice, white tablecloths, friendly and fast service. wine list is short, mostly italian but quite reasonable, averging around 40 a bottle for a drinkable Chianti. we ordered completely off their specials menu - tomato, basil, and very fresh delicious mozzerella salad; pear, goat cheese, pinenut, and arugula salad; the osso buco (yummy and falling off the bone, a bit disappointingly served with pathetic white rice); and the filet mignon in a peppercorn cream sauce (good but very rare although we specified medium rare). we also had a nice chocolate mousse cake for dessert with complementary spumanti (sweet, sparkling, dessert wine). good for a quick, hearty meal where you don't need a reservation even on a saturday night!

Went here several months ago with my girlfriend and had a terrible experience. I figured with the great reviews they have, I would give it another try. Boy was I wrong. I don't see how people can like this place. My 1st experience I ordered the Osso Bucco. Let's just say it was under cooked. Osso Bucco is supposed to be cooked all the way through. The 2nd time, I ordered the Sliced Rib Eye special, highly recommended by the waiter. Ordered it medium rare. The dish that came out was "cheesesteak meat" extremely over cooked. Sent it back and 2nd time round it was under cooked. Let alone having to $34.00 for this subpar dish. Much better Italian in the area. If you go, perhaps order off the menu or stick to pasta, I've been unsuccessful with the specials. My girlfriend's salmon was also extremely dry.

We have been there several times and it it definitively our favorite restaurant in the area. The only thing I would wish is if the would change the "daily" specials more often, almost all of them have been on for the last 8 weeks...

I have lived in Murray Hill for 2 years now and this is without a doubt the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Great food and the restaurant itself has a great Italian atmosphere. Delivery is quick and the food is always hot. Great choice whether you are dining in or taking out.

We tried Trrattoria Belvedere based on the great reviews on this stie. We were NOT disappointed! The food is absolutely fantastic, and the delivery is lightning fast. (We haven't eaten in the restaurant yet but I'm sure we will soon given the quality of the food). I recommend the Spaghetti Bolognese -- some of the best I've had in NYC. My wife has tried several different pasta dishes -- all of which have been delicious. Two thumbs up!

I walked by this place last sunday and the doors were open - I had never really noticed it before. It looked cute so my husband and I went - it was absolutely fabulous. Its like a cute little place right out of italy and the service was great. I had the Sea Bass which was amazing and my husband had the t-bone special - also fantastic. The mozzorela (sp?) is imported and really tasty. Def a new neighborhood favorite!!!

My boyfriend picked this place last evening. I was PLEASANTLY suprised, as I wanted to go somewhere else. The waiters are extremely sweet, and will even customize your bread dipping sauce. I suggested olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and cheese! I recommend this as well. The pasta dishes were out of this world!! Overall, it is our new regular place. It was just so warm, and cozy--you feel like you have been coming there for years. The next time I come, I may even be tempted to say, "give me my regular"
