Trattoria Alba is the best Italian food in the neighborhood. Very attentive and charming staff. The food is top notch and they'll make you anything you like, even if it isn't on the menu. A wonderful find.

Two thumbs up for this excellent dining spot! Great food, pleasant, attentive service, surprisingly moderate prices for midtown Manhattan. We were a party of five, and each of us was delighted. Try it--you'll like it!

Myself and 11 of my family dined at the restaurant on 7/16/05 and were delighted. The food, the atmosphere, the service and the hospitality were wonderful. The young man who played the guitar and sang made the evening! Anyone who is New York and wants a great meal and a feeling like your part of their family, go to Trattoria Alba. P.S., It will not hurt your wallet...what a treat in N.Y.

Truly one of the best. I have been going there for the past three years and have never been disapointed once. The skylight gives the atmosphere a 5.0, the back room is absolutely fabulous. Go if you want your belly to be full, the food is great.

Let me just say that this is a nice place. Decided to go in one evening. Unfortunately we were greeted by the hostess which looked me up and down then said to follow her. Of course I wouldn't have worn my jeans that evening if I would have been aware that there was a dress code. That type of reception made us a little uncomfortable. We almost left the restaurant because of what she did. The rest of the service was perfect. Food was good.

My wife and I eat out a lot- this place is top notch - from food to atmosphere, to great service. The water glass was always kept full. My wife had salmon - I had chicken parm - the food was hot and delicious- leave room for dessert.

This is basically a Murray Hill neighborhood place. If you're lucky enough to be taken there or stumble upon it, keep it a secret. Too many customers will certainly ruin it for the rest of us. Not on the menu, but always available as an appitizer or entree is linguine Sinatra; a seafoor delight. Almost any menu entree or special is worth trying. We've never been disappointed in 18 years.
