    Neighborhood Favorite

By far the best italian in the neighborhood. The staff has been there for years and takes care of their guests. The food is consistently delicious and we've been there about 20 times. They always make gnocchi for my husband off of the menu. The decor is nothing fancy, but stately and comfortable. Great little mid-week neighborhood gem.

    Subpar Delivery

Delivery said it would take 20 minutes. 40 minutes later, the food came and it was barely warm and the wrong order. Chicken parm with no pasta, or red sauce with the chicken

    Value, great and consistent

Been there 50 times always great food at a fair price. The wait staff is right there and the specials are great...whoever wrote the review about it being pricy does't eat out much in NYC,,,this is a great value for the complexion of what you get. Rusty. NYC E 34th Street Resident

    good but way to pricey

I have walked by this place a hundred times, so I thought it was time to try it. The food was fine nothing overly memorable, but it was good. However, it was so over priced. There are so many Italian restaurants in Manhattan, no need to run to this one- unless it is 10 degrees out and you want to be close to home - i.e. last night.

Gordon Ramsay Needs to Visit Here

We showed up on a recent Saturday night and were very kindly led to a nice table even without a reservation. It is really a neighborhood place and the atmosphere was very nice; service lovely. However, I really wished they had tried a little harder with the food. Seems to me that my tortellini in cream sauce with walnuts had come from a microwave oven. It arrived, plate scorching hot with a few dried walnuts tossed on top. I guess I'd had some vision of a walnut sauce. My dinner partner's chicken had also received a microwave touch. Again, such a shame, since both dishes are easily made fresh. Finally dessert was very nice - imported from Payard. But - that's fine since if you're not going to make your own pastry, at least you can offer the very best. All in all a pleasant experience and I won't mind going back but such a shame they can't make more of their kitchen.

    Consistently Delicious

Trattaria Alba manages to exceed all expectations after every visit. The food is consistently delicious and the service is fantastic. We almost chose not to write a review bc we dont want the secret to get out.

    Real Italian!!

The food here is excellent! The pasta is always al dente, they don't lack in portion on the caprese, the sauces and meats are always fresh. The service and atmosphere also can't be beat. I'm italian and I am very picky when it comes to good food and this place is very impressive!
