Tramonti

We were at the Tramonti around 5:00 pm on a Saturday. I realize we all want service, but we were never left alone! The waiter literally stood beside our table for around 50 % of the time we were there. (there was a work station beside us, but it wasn't necessary for him to stand there). The waitor was upset when we chose not to buy wine. He was definitely mad that we didn't drink alcohol. Also, We were charged for refills on soda! Honestly the food was outstanding but the hovering throughout the meal just ruined it.

Try the fried pizza w caviar, its soo good. I had gnocchi and it was pillows of joy! Overall, nice place..Service? Your going for the food.. remember that.

I ate there with my mom and daughter. Have been craving the Lasagna ever since. Will go back on my next visit to NYC.

We walked around looking for a place to eat. This one seemed busy so figured it had to be good! I was not disappointed. The wait staff were very friendly. The wine they suggested was superb. Was it pricey, only if you are used to fast food budgets. You pay for location. The food was great. I have been craving the mussel and white bean pasta ever since. It had a great atmosphere. I wish I lived in the area so I could dine there again. Nobody forced us to buy an expensive wine, nobody added a tip (was it a large party), the staff was not rude as some have stated. My children (11, 9 and 6) were treated very well also. Our waiter was extremely nice. We stopped in after 10:00 and our waiter was getting ready to leave for the night but that didn't stop him from taking good care of us. He even stopped for a final conversation on his way out of the restaurant. Please, if you are reading these reviews, understand, a dining experience has a lot to do with you and your own attitude. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, and it was awesome! Excellent food, very fresh and cooked to perfection! The wine that was suggested went perfectly with our meal We'll go back the next time we're in NYC.

Where do i begin? Our waiter was snotty and rude. We wanted an affordable, drinkable wine and he made us feel "less than" because we didn't want to order a $100 + bottle.He embarassed myhusband infront of our 3 20-something daughters because we were trying to order a bottle of wine without spending $500 on dinner! the food was nothing special..but it wouldn't have mattered even if it was delicious because by the time it arrived our appetites were ruined and we just wanted to get out of there..and Becco, across the street, was buzzing with activity and laugther and a bottle of wine there is $25 or so. Next time i know where I'm going.

We visited Tramonti for the 2nd time recently, and were not disappointed. Great little place! Buzzy, cosy, very tasty food, reasonably priced and wait staff very friendly and polite. Only issue ..my food was brought out later than my husbands, but that's not the end of the world. Very nice.
