I recommend going to Trailer Park for the atmosphere, but not for the food. My husband and I got the mac and cheese (he had his topped with the turkey chili) with the sweet potato fries. The fries were great, but the mac and cheese was very average (and I'm a huge mac and cheese fan). The service was great. I will take people back, but I will choose to sit at the bar for some old-school beer and some of their great fries.

I gotta say, I had never heard of this place. That is until my department decided to hold a holiday get togethor. Anyway, about 30 professionals made the Trek down to 23rd and 7th for an hour or two of drink. When we got there, we walked through a wooden screen door that slammed behind you and were greeted to props and decorations from our youth. Plastic lights strung all over, a Daisy Duke poster, a 23 inch color TV. The decor was trashy yet elegant. We were not there for the decor so we went right to the bar. Once we got there, it seemed the beer of the house was Pabst Blue Ribbon. So we ordered a ton and just kept on drinking and comparing notes about how PBR was probably one of the first beers any of us had savored during our youth. As we drank, we lost track of time and next thing you know, three hours passed and we all had beer muchies. So, we all ordered burgers. Well, the burgers were great, the sweet potatoe fries were a surprise and the waitress was great. She just kept the beer coming. After dinner, we resorted to boat races and quarters and capped the night off with another round of PBR and vowed to return again some day. If you are looking for a place that is not going to break the back, has great service and pretty decent food, this is the place. If you want to surprise someone, this place will give you plenty to talk about (other than work). Just talking about the decor will keep smiles on your face all night.

A real kitchy roadhouse right in the middle of New York City. Really cool place. Reminds me of my southern roots, and that turkey chili was the real thing. Cold cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a fun funky atmosphere.

Trailer Park is an eclectic, fun-spirited diner-esque restaurant featuring all-American cuisine in an all-American atmosphere. Menu selection is small but the prices can't be beat in NYC! Trailer Park offers hearty hamburgers with sweet-potato fries, macaroni & cheese, and even margaritas! The food is great and the waitstaff are amicable. For an entertaining bite to eat, Trailer Park is the place to be!
