Worth the trip if in the area
I stopped by in the late afternoon when it wasn't too crowded. The service was fair, I've had worse. The food and drinks were definately acceptable. Especially since I hadn't seen the memorabilia since I was growing up. I had forgotten about most of the stuff. Highlights: orange and grape aid bubblers. The screen door with the metal 7Up bar. And the comb despenser in the bathrooms. Even bought a tee shirt: "I Met My Next Ex, at the Trailer Park Cafe".

YUM, YUM, YUM
Huge burger lover and TP's burger is excellent. Nice large burger, cooked to order and not greasy. The tater tots are worth a visit alone and the cinnamon on the sweet potato fries is a wonderful surprise. Great place for a laid back meal. Only the addition of a cookie or brownie sundae could improve it.

"it is what it is"
we didn't go in to this place looking for fine dining, expecting the greatest service in the world, or even the best food we could find. we stopped in hoping for a happy hour and a cool atmosphere and that's exactly what we got. pitchers of margaritas, which the ladies said were great, and cheaper beer, which i always enjoy. i was hungry, i ordered some food, and afterwards, go figure, I wasn't hungry anymore!! I added cheese to my tater tots which is the way to go, lemme tell ya. the prices were a bit higher than i'd like for food like this but it's new york city. they gotta pay the utilities just like everyone else. i'd go back.

I loved the "The Trailer" the hamburger and sweet potato fries were prefect. Where else in the world can you get champagne in a can w/ a straw! Had a great time.

You've got to be kidding. 4 stars?
I can't believe this place has a 4 star rating. Where do I start? Our party had a reservation for 20 people at 8PM. We were seated at 9:10. The waitress took all of our food orders and after even rereading all the orders back, messed mine up. I ordered a Cheeseburger with Bacon rare. She brought a Veggie burger no bacon rare. Who orders a veggie anything rare? So I ate last consequently. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the tater tots were good. I can make those at home. Hardly worth the trip. I eat burgers every week at a different place with a few friends. The burger was fair at absolute best. I did feel really nauseous at the end, as did a couple of others. I didn't even look at the bill. I threw in a twenty, which was way more than my share and was happy to call it a day. I will admit that the atmosphere is cool, but evidently, people on this site seem to value gimmick over food.

Consistently Good Food
I live in the neighborhood and I've eaten here on and off for years. The food is always good. It is what it is. It's a great place to go for lunch before a movie across the street. It's not usually crowded in the afternoon. I love the BLT's and sweet potato fries. The prices are reasonable. Where else are you going to eat for this price in NYC?
