Fresh, tasty food
And excellent service in a wonderfully retro setting. A good way to fortify oneself for a tedious train ride: settle into a Tracks booth, ask the friendly wait staff for drink and some oysters, maybe have a burger and life will feel good.

Great place for Tapas
I went with the family and we had a great time. Going to a resturant that has tapas is perfect for a big family that likes to share all thier dishes. The only down side was the price to food ratio but makes up for this in flavor. The Hamachi Crudo was very good but the Octopus was a little too exotic for my taste. All and all good place, I would go there again

Not recommended
The food sucks for the price. Waited a long time for our entree which was disappointing. The soda was the best part of my meal.

Oysters Rival Grand Central's
Freshest and best selection of oysters in NYC for the money. I've been here many times since I discovered it a couple of years ago, and found it to be very consistent. Excellent crab cakes, chowder, shrimp avocado salad, "cross tracks" fries and sweet potato fries. Never had anything there that was bad. Service is typically personable, friendly and accommodating. Retro decor & paintings a homage to lost Penn Station and old New York. Avoid Friday happy/rush hour for loud crowds.

Average
I was surprised that we were seated right away since it was a Friday night. The waitress came by and took our orders, which came out really quickly. The service was actually pretty good, but then we didn’t really ask for much. The food on the hand was a little disappointing considering all the good reviews I read before heading over there. The calamari was average, the fish and chips was pretty good. The linguini with white clam sauce didn’t cut it. I had to add salt to the sauce that was just too thin to stick onto the pasta. The clams were a bit overcooked. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but I don’t know if I would go back to try something else.

Great Food and Drink
Came here before a concert and the food (fish sandwich & fries) and Guiness draft were great. Great food, great value, great service--Penn Station's best kept secret.
