Delicious Food, Wonderful Service!!
I went here with a friend for dinner on a Sunday, and was surprised that the restaurant wasn't more crowded. I think it may be because of the location...but, the service was wonderful, and the ambience welcoming, inviting and peaceful. I am not an expert, but the Garlic Naan was soft and delicious, Chicken Curry (recommended by the waitress) was spicy and hot, yet very flavourful, and the Vegetable Samoso was a delight. I would definitely go again..:) highly recommended!

Not happy
Food - OK, nothing to write home about. My order was missing 1 item, Naan. I called right away and was argued with. I was told that the delivery guy said it was in there. I explained it was not, and that I already paid for it and want it sent to me. 45 minutes went by and I called back to find out what was going on with it. I was told the same thing and that I needed to call the next day to speak to a manager! All the woman on the phone did was argue with me. Why would I call and lie about a $2 order of Naan? I will never order from this restaurant again.

tasty food, poor service
Ok, so the waiters have no idea what they're doing-- but being that the place is vacant all the time, i guess they don't get a lot of practice. I love the food. it's spicy, (but I'll eat thai curry for breakfast, so spicy is a plus for me). Chicken tikka masala is good, so is the paneer masala. Their breads are tasty. Servings are substanial but not huge, and the price is right. Just don't expect much from your waiter-- and don't be too apalled if he leaves cups from the last customer on your table, just move it yourself. This place is worthwhile and I hope it sticks around for a while (nothing like curry after yoga to make a girl happy!)

Don't Hate.
This restaurant may not cater well to the American Palette. If all you're willing to delve into in Indian cuisine is Chicken Tikka Masala and have no tolerance for spicy then it's not for you. However if you're a fan of Southern Indian cuisine, Iddly, Dosa, etc. This place is the best Indian Delivery in the area, try the Malai Kofta you won't be disappointed, but again if you can't handle heat order everything MILD.

Food good, servings generous, service not so much
Don't come here if you expect your waiter to be friendly, quick, or well trained. The guy who waits the tables clearly has no idea what he's doing. But- the food is great. It's easy to run up a big bill because the smaller things on the menu are pricier than they should be, but the entrees are generous (enough for 1.5 to 2 meals for me) and at less than $10 for most, I'm more than happy to ignore the waiter and fork out the cash. Since it has opened it has been fairly empty anytime I've come by--so who knows, it might go out of business soon. But if you're in the area, try it out. It's better than any place on curry row, the chef is from the old curry hill restaurant Dimple, and it's one of the few indian restaurants besides Tamarind I'd recommend-- at a fraction of the price.

Food to your door, but don't expect too much...
A couple of things bothered me when I ordered from here. The first is that I ordered a dish called Lamb Pasanda which is described as 'with almonds and creamy'; it arrived without almonds and in a thick acidic tomato and onion sauce. It's not that bad, the lamb while not prolific was fairly tender, but certainly not what was described so a bit of a disappointment. 2nd, I ordered a Mango Lassi for the whopping price of $4.99 and it came listed as a shake for $5.99 and was only 16 oz. at best. The rice was good as it was well spiced. The little lettuce/salad and chili that comes with it had signs that the lettuce was aging and not long for this world. I'd asked for the total before I hung up with the guy on the phone who gave me a flat figure when the order came it was $2 and change more and none of the extra menus I'd asked for were included, but the food was pretty quickly delivered though it was a Sunday on a holiday weekend. I feel it was a lot more money for what I got than it should have been. $6 for a drink?; it better come in a real fresh coconut with a basket of fruit with it OR in a 22 oz. Bollywood souvenir cup. Just my opinion.
