Great Sushi Rice
As an weekly sushi eater I must say I've always never cared for the rice, I've always loved just having sashimi.. I went here with a friend and I must say the rice is awesome! Anyone who knows sushi know it's about the rice first then fresh fish next but this place has both going, maybe I went there on a good day. Rolls are great and compared to higher priced places like "tao" I'd rather come here any day. It's not about the price but about how much I enjoyed the meal. If they had fresh wasabi that would be extra points! No complaints wait staff is friendly and atmosphere is pleasant.

You get what you pay for
I eat sushi 3 times a week all over the upper east side. I'd say this is a good value. But are you getting anything spectacular? No.. Just the usual. It is worth eating here just to grab a cheap(er) bite

So fresh!
I've gone to basically all the sushi places in this area of the Upper East Side & can honestly say this is BY FAR my favorite. Recently, new management took over and now their sushi always tastes ridiculously fresh. I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried here & have been randomly offered free dessert as well, can't knock that right?! It's my go to sushi place now.

Wow what a fresh sushi; also the rolls were amazing. the service wasn't too bad either. definitely coming back to this place

great sushi restaurant
I always like to go to toyota for all my types of sushi and rolls that i eat..the food is always perfectly done and fresh every time i go there, it's why i keep on going back.. the service is wonderful ..atmosphere quiet, dark, lit with candles..nice for a date..anyone who says otherwise is wacko?

Not fresh
I got take-out from this place and was very disappointed. The shrimp tempura I got was the worst I've had at any sushi place. It wasn't fresh, which was like eating old fries. Gross.

Waiting forever
The food is OK. Nothing to rave about. I called for delivery one evening and despite the fact that I live just around the corner, my order arrived over an hour later. I've gotten deliveries within half the time from places much farther. Also the delivery guy accidentally gave me the wrong order and had to come back for the exchange.
