This tiny gem is a true find. While the space is cozy "tight" and the staff may sometimes seem to be pushing you out the door - pre-theatre only, the food is wonderful. I've tried several dishes and each has been a delight. Worth the wait at lunch or dinner.

Same portion as dinner and price can't be beat. Warning, they will let you in to take a seat but wont even come to your table or get you a drink before they open at noon. by 12:20 the place is packed by those in the know. The Red Curry Beef is AWESOME...... coconut milk and red curry. so savory. 8 bucks, who can beat it?

Just came home from NYC and had the best thai food ever at Topaz. I took her there on a Saturday night and I can tell you we will definately be back. it was all we could talk about on the way home. We live on Long Island (hour and a half train ride away) and we would take th train in just to have dinner there. It was a cozy little place so it can get tight in there but its well worth it. The food comes fast, so if you arent a fast eater or you ordered multiple appetizers the table wont hold everything. Anyway overall, it was fantastic and I would highly reccomend it to anyone who loves thai food!

My husband and I have been going to Topaz for more than fifteen years. We love the cozy atmosphere, especially the one table that is next to the window. The food is so good and quite affordable. The wait staff doesn't seem to speak a lot of English, but we got our food in good time and it was delicious and fresh. The location is convenient to the MOMA. This is not an elegant, fancy restaurant and for the price, location and quality of food we give it high marks. Mindy

Topaz is a great find in midtown. The menu is extensive and the dishes are tasty. The restaurant itself is cozy, dim, and romantic- good for a date. It does get crowded, so make reservations if you are trying to impress.

Me and my husband have been going to this restaurant since last 6 yrs (atleast few times in a year). I have to say food was always good, which ofcourse drove us there. But finally I decided to write a review bcz yesterday we went there for dinner and we were happy to see some improvements. prsentation of food was much better this time. Also, we were never happy with the staff (including our last visit 2 months back) Staff curtosey is better than before. Place has good feel to it. if not crowded it does have romantic feel to it. Only negative thing I would say is they have 18% service charge regardless of no of people. My husband did not appriciated that.

I wasn't sure what to get for lunch until a co-worker of mine mentioned Topaz and figured I'd give it a shot. .. I ordered the Chicken in a Penut Sauce and it was delicious! I look forward to eating there again very soon!
