The food was insanely good. I had the chicken in garlic and I was totally satisfied. The food was even aesthetically pleasing which is rare. It's cramped as hell though.. I went 20 mins after it opened and there were only a few tables left. They put your really close to the table next to you, which is awkward but amusing. I had no problem with the service. It was fast and painless. They don't stop to chat or ask how you're doing, but who cares? It's not that kind of a place anyway. Totally worth it, if you can manage to get a seat.

I live in the area, and every time I want thai, I go here. Every time I think I want some nice, warm, yummy thai food, and I go here, or even call in, and the attitude of the wait staff is like you are interrupting THEM from whatever they are doing as if it is not a restaurant where you are a customer and a guest. I have never been to Thailand, but I hope that they do not treat guests in their home as contemptuously as Topaz treats its customers. I don't know maybe there are monkeys whipping them in the back so they all have bad tempers, but the food is good. Get beyond the attitude and you will enjoy the food.

while the food is decent the overall experience gets totally spoiled by the staff behavior. I have been coming here for 3 years and proximity is the only reason i come here and most of the time order in just to avoid the rude behavior. Wonder where does it come from?

My dad stumbled upon this place today and we decided to eat there this evening. It was fabulous. I'm a downtown girl, not a fan of midtown and outside of work, try to avoid it at all costs but I will definitely be coming back to Topaz...soon and often! Awesome food, great service.... Super friendly staff. Something for everyone's taste. One of the City's true gems! ...pun intended :-)

I just walked in the snow to pick up my pad thai from this place--and it was my first time ordering here. Let me tell it was WELL worth the walk. I am definitely telling people about this place and ordering for lunch often. If you want to eat in, its small, so expect a little wait.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, with a slightly dimly lit dining room, with a comfortable amount of noise. The food is reasonably priced, and tastes great. Service was good when we went, with our water being filled up every 10 or so minutes. I would definitely go back again!
