If you want really good food with portions that are not too big or fru fru (big plate where the small and overpriced serving of food is in the middle and the rest of the plate is empty) and the prices are very reasonable, this is the place to go. You have to make reservations (at least for dinner) because it gets crowded fast and it's not a big place. I've never had a bad meal there and I've been going there a long time.

The Pad See Eew, Tom Yum soup, Gai Yang chicken, and Topaz Noodles are outstanding. Easily my favorite Thai restaurant in NYC because of the cozy atmosphere. Always reliable for takeout too - Topaz has been my go-to place for Thai takeout in Manhattan for the last 6 years!

I love Thai food, and have eaten at a number of places across the country. The main thing about this restaurant is that they take what should be very good Thai food and make it too sweet, add too much sauce, and try to hard to make it something it is not. If your looking for that really great Thai food your use to getting at different places, this is not the restaurant you want to be at.

I've eaten at Topaz for years - best Thai food in the area, and maybe even in NYC but the wait is crazy. Not saying this as a native "New Yorker" but delivery for food when Im 4 blocks away shouldnt take over 1.5 hours - which has happened multiple times. When I'm there the food takes a minimum of 30 mins to arrive. Amazing food - know what you want when you get there and don't do delivery - it may end up getting to you after THREE hours!

We were group of 10 and we enjoyed food. Love the taste. I would like to visit in future.
