Outstanding. Loved it, will be back
Short and sweet, this place is very nice. Everything was outstanding, my party, 13 locals, had a brilliant time.

Great view from overpriced diner
The 360 deg view (enclosed balcony around the room that is the entry and bar) is wonderful at this high level; a great skyline view that does not include the eclipsed empire state nor chrysler nor UN plaza but does have citicorp and times sq. An overpriced charming diner with that level of staffing. no table cloths on simple wooden tables with similar chairs. Food: we should have skipped our cheese/fruit apetizer. entres were ok and small cheescake dessert was nice. just as in a diner, stick to the items that you know they can handle. Go for the view. perhaps for a cocktail.

Very very disappointing
If you like the “breathtaking” views over Queens, crowded little tables, very limited choice, extremely overpriced and ridiculously small portions, rude staff and mandatory 18% gratuity, this is the place for you. What a disappointing dining experience!

Romance on the cheap
Top of the Tower was remarkable!! My girlfriend and I went for a romantic dinner and we we're both astounded at the quality and VALUE of the place. Beautiful views of the city or river at night (and I actually prefer the view on first ave to the river). The atmosphere is dark, quiet and very personal. The service is perfect for the place. Helpful and knowledgeable, but not intrusive. The food was surprisingly very good. The prices are also fantastic. $50 for a dinner for two at place like this is a steal! I recommend it for anyone looking to impress.

Perfect spot for couples
My wife and I visited Top of the Tower for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The view of the cityscape and river was breathtaking and intimate. The service was impecible; not at all pushy and very friendly. The food was wonderful and excellent value given the calibre of the restaurant; prices were exactly as on the restaurant's web page and much less than any other 'most romantic' restaurant in the city. Definitely recommended!
