    Absolutely Amazing!

I went here for a friends birthday and I read the reviews for this restaurant. So we decided to check it out. The food is out of its world GOOD! The service is so lovely, we were a party of 7 and every table there it was someones birthday. All the servers were polite, friendly, and so helpful. It was just an amazing experience and I will definitely name that as one of the best Italian places in new york.

    everything is just great

the portions are enormous, the prices are tiny, and the taste is amazing. where else can you get a meal for two for $20 and leave full?! i don't think anywhere and this is the place to go. even if you make reservations, you still have to wait a bit but based on its location, i'd rather wait then go eat somewhere else. great food!

    Way better than Little Italy!

A friend recommended Tony's to me when I told her I was going to see a show on Broadway. I'm very greatful for her! We were going to go all the way down to Little Italy for dinner. Turns out, Tony's was much better than any restaurant I've dined at in Little Italy! It was a little loud...you could barely hear the music, so they should have just turned it off. But the service was OUTSTANDING! Our waitress was personable, upbeat, very friendly and recommended a great pitcher of Sangria! The food was so delicious...I took leftovers home and had 2 more lunches out of it! With just 2 people, skip the appetizers and salads and just get the entree. I will definitely be back!

found it by accident and glad we did!!!!

I found this place by accident when that other familty style restuarant around the corner made me wait 2 hours for my reservation for 2. Walked into Tony's on a prayer and was seated without a reservation. Now it was 5pm on a Weds and the theatre crowd was just setting in. Like me for a pre show meal. To my surprise, the food was better, cheaper and oh those appletini's YUMMY!!!!!!! This was 5 years ago or more. Since then, I have sent family, friends and business associates from around the US here. Nothing but rave reviews from all. One time and I mean once, someone told me of cold raviolis. Hey, stuff happens.. but they also did not tell the server or send them back. I know if they did, it would have been remedied ASAP, I now am a regular here and every server has been fantastic. All top notch, good people and great servers. Tell them you're in a rush for a show and they will make sure you get there. No rush, no problem.. they slow down to give you time to ENJOY. The family portions are enough to feed 3-4 as advertised. Be careful not to order to much, unless you want to take some home. Because you will. The Red Sangria rivals anything at spanish resturants I frequent in the region, Did I mention the food.....the rigatoni with mozz and eggplant, a family favorite. Tri-color tortolloni in alfredo sauce (add the shrimp for a special touch) ohhhh soo good..... We could go on and on about the people, food and service, its just that good. Yes it can be a noisy place, but hey its NYC. Bring your families. Kids will love this place, no one will notice them talking out loud, that's if they can stop eating the huge meatballs and pasta dish, you should order as soon as you are seated. It'll be there before you get the water. The kids will be satiated and you'll be happy they are. There will be nothing but compliments about this place. if you have a problem, tell the server it'll be fixed. You then can tell the mgr how good he/she was serving you, as the mgrs frequent the table to assure, quality and service. If somethings out of place, they step up themselves and fix it. Enjoy...... we do..... R and J
