Tony's Di Napoli

Food is your typical Italian fare. Didn't see the need to be so pricey other than you're paying for a restaurant in a prime location. The place is nicely decorated, and the atmosphere pleasant, but the place is crazy loud. So loud that we had to shout at each other from across the table just to hear. I went hoarse from the screaming, and my head ached so badly from the noise that I had to take Advil while there. Two good points - great Sangria and really good service (very attentive).

I go here at least 2x a month and have never received less than stellar service. The food is great, service is fast and Manager is the best! Cannot leave here without having the strawberry shortcake dessert...it's heavenly

This place is always busy it seems, but I have never eaten anything but good food here. Some dishes are better than others, but all of it is tasty. Portions are sized for two, so expect to share and don't go solo. Great place for larger groups to dine & to share food. This is not a gourmet restaurant, so don't expect delicate "foodie" concoctions. This is good, solid delicious basic Italian. The tomato sauces are excellent. And the service is good. Sometimes the waiters are a little overwhelmed at peak hours, so once you are served the main course it may be a little difficult to get their attention, but really, I have no complaints. Good prices, good food and hefty portions.

As others have said the only way to get a meal is to order it family style so you all must want the same thing and they wil NOT offer an alternative. We were three and could not finish it so if you go as two be prepared to carry around a shopping bag of food all night or waste a large amount. As for atmosphere it was louder than a birthday party at Chucky Cheese. Food was OK but nothing more and not worth the experience.

So happy we discovered "Tony"s"....two years ago...the girls in my salon couldn't make up our minds...on what to do for our Christmas celebration....we love a good party...good dancing music...but we decided we needed a change...so off to manhattan for a broadway show and a good dinner....low and behold the famous Carmine's just couldn't accommodate us...I believe that year we were 14 girls...after some discussion and a suggestion from a client we decided to go to"Tony's"...a little skeptical..(most of us are italian and fabulous cooks) we off to our night out....my daughter and i spent the day in manhattan and the the rest followed...we were greeted by a lovely hostess...she checked our reservation...asked if we would like to wait for the rest of the party,,,Have a drink"....which we did...the gals trickled in and within ten minutes..we were seated......the waitress introduced her self announced the specials and we were on our way....fast and efficient...the service was impeccable....we asked about certain dishes and was able to answer every question.......the food was serviced in a timely fashion...water glasses filled and drinks renewed....the food was superior....we had not one complaint.....we are still laughing about the amount of food ordered......and EATEN.......long story short.....there was no question where we were eating this year for our night on the town..... forget the five rating Tony DiNapoli gets a ten....from the gals at Vanity Salon, Merrick NY!

We made a resv. the same morning and when we arrived a great romantic table was waiting for us. We chose the Friday night special which consisted of black seafood pasta loaded with calamari,shrimp,clams and mussels. Great salad as well with a few glasses of chianti made this a great choice. We'll be back!

Been coming to this restaurant for many years now and refuse to eat anywhere else when I'm in the city Sent many people here and they all love it
