    Good for families

Ate here on 9/26/09. Party of 4 women with good appetites. We ordered baked clams (good - whole clams, not chopped), veal parm and baked ziti bolognese (all good, but tomato sauce a bit sweet). BEST was chicken & shrimp francese. FABULOUS! We took lots of food home. Family-style, not for couples.

    ordinary

when cooking large portions, quality usually suffers. This place is no exception. the food reminded me of very poor italian food suffered on the only guided tour i have taken as an adult (to Pompeii). I'd suggest getting yourself to Arthur Ave-tastier, more authntic and a significantky better value for the money.

    eh.

This place serves portions for 2-3 people. They're pretty big. The wife and I split the chicken parmigiana (which was two pretty big pieces) and it actually was pretty good. I think it was about $23. But it didn't come with pasta, which is strange, and a HALF portion (small dish) of spaghetti w/ marinara is $11! That was a surprise and kind of p'd me off a bit. Good food, but you could do better for the money. $35 for a chicken parmigiana w/ pasta is a bit steep, even for two people. I think the "family style" menu is an excuse to overcharge for a somewhat larger dish. Proceed with caution.

    Absolutely the Best!!

We have been here several times and it is always so consistent. The servers are friendly and the food is superb. It is a perfect local Restaurant to spend a night out for a great meal. We live in the neighborhood and enjoy going here. We look forward to taking our families here when they visit from out of town. Always worth it. Priced great- we eat leftovers for days. Not just Another Italian Restaurant. Try It!!

    not great service

The food is ok ( not a great value) but the attitude is among the worst I have experienced. The restaurant is often quite busy, so perhaps they feel the rudeness is justified, but I will never eat there again.

    Good and Simple

We walked by this place for a year and laughed at the lines and considered it incredibly hokey. Don't know why, but decided to eat there once and were amazed. OK, it is not fine dining, but it is damn good basic food. Ziti Bolognese and Eggplant Parm are among our "usuals". And delivery is usaually fast and efficient, with evrything that is supposed to come with the food, from bread to napkins.

Basically the Olive Garden of UES

The food here is not very good. The portions are to big there is way to much sauce on the pastas. There are plenty of better options in the area. Not recommended.
