    great hangout

stopped by there for a drink after work with friends for their happy hours. the place looks great, and the vibe is fun. Their speciality cocktails are delicious. My friend ordered a pizza, I had a piece - was really good. will definitely come back

a hot spot in the East Village! Great food and drinks and great delivery

The pizza at Tonda are fantastic! I especially recommend the whole wheat crust. I am european and find it hard to find a good italian pizza in New York. The ingredients are fresh, taste great and the fire burning over brings a great touch to the pizza and also to the place in general. the atmosphere is always young and fun, their happy hours for drinks is always a good excuse to get a drink after work. Also they deliver up to stuyvesant town and have a large delivery range. Tonda is always on point!! I am a big fan

    They don't cut the pizza???!!

After ordering two pizzas for 26 bucks - not bad in comparison- we received our pies only to find out the pizza was not cut?? I promptly called to let a manager know what had happened. I was told that he was downstairs on the phone... Unable to assist a customer. So I explained the uncut pie to the hostess who replied with a chuckle and, " we don't cut our pizza". When I asked, "how should I eat my 12 inch round pizza?" her response was, " you don't have a knife?".

    Thought it would be better

I was hoping to find a great LES pizza spot based on the nymag review, but I found the food to be pretty standard. I got the vegetarian pizza, and it was good, but nothing great. We had the rice balls to start, and those were very good. The atmosphere was absolve average - very cute spot, and outdoor dining if there are only two of you. Don't go expecting amazing food - but if you care more about some decent thin pizza and good atmosphere, this spot should satisfy.

    Nabe Hang-Out

I like this new place Tonda as a neighborhood hang-out for chic but affordable apps and wine or just dessert and an espresso. The throngs can hang-out for pizza if they want a bit of a wait. I've visited four times to date, every time is fun. Its in a good location to meet up for a night out; happy music, crowd and has a helpful waitstaff.

    not good pizza...

i'm hoping it's because they just opened, but our pizzas were not good at all. the atmosphere and decor was amazing. fun vibe in the bar area. because they just opened i'm willing to ignore our 1 1/2 hour wait for a table, but i cant ignore the taste of the pizza... the quatroformaggio - not good. appts were pretty good though - rice balls and polenta. with all the other amazing pizza places in the city, i'm not sure i'd waste my time going back there.

    Neighborhood hopeful!....

After much anticipation following the press on your recent opening, we are hoping for stellar results! Dined here on Thursday. Food was straight forward home cooked Italian! The kind you would be grateful to enjoy on Sunday, with your Nonna! Didn't get to try their Pizza, but will head back very soon! One suggestion... please consider changing/ updating the music content and volume! We understand you are trying to go for light and fun, but blaring tacky 80's hits might be a huge deterrent for a group of locals that eat out constantly and who are looking to be regulars.
