I experienced Tom's for the first time today. I loved the decor; pictures of the family were on display. The hostess would come around and offer cookies and coffee to guests while they waited to be seated. The owner was the sweetest, friendly and very attentive to the needs of his patrons. I left here very content and my six year old daughter really enjoyed her strawberry waffle and vanilla egg cream.

My wife and I read about Tom's in Zagat and decided to try it on a day that we went to the Brooklyn Museum. What a treat. They serve you coffee, cookies, orange slices and sausage with lemon juice while you are waiting in the line outside. And it's only the beginning of the fun and yum you will experience. The staff are genuinely warm, humorous and attentive. They do not miss a beat. The food is fantastic. I think they may have the best crab cake in NYC. Certainly better than the $19.00 crab cakes at Norma's. Just go and have a fun delicious breakfast... there is a lineup for a reason!!!!

Everytime I go here it's very crowded. The food is awesome, the staff is friendly and I wouldn't choose anywhere else to go for breakfast. Save your appetite and stop by.
