    Slow Delivery & Gross Pizza

Our pizza took an hour and a half (on a Monday!) and when we got it I almost didn't eat it- it was cold and the bbq chicken pizza had no red sauce and tasted like Chinese food. Never again, especially because there are so many delicious pizza places in the slope.

    Outstanding!

I arrived at the Holiday Inn on Union late on the evening of Jan. 1, 2009. I scooped up several menus from the lobby and found that Tomato N Basil was one of the only restaurants still open. Thank God. I had a salad, Spinich Calzone and my friend ordered Lasagne. It came with a salad and bread and we both had the wonderful cheesecake for desert. It was delivered fast and the presentation was impressive for a delivery meal. The entire meal was heaven and I am definitely staying in Brooklyn again mostly so I can be near this restaurant. It is also convenient to the subway (like right outside the door), so you can grab lunch before heading into Manhattan.

    Great Pizza

I have to disagree with the previous post. I think this place has the best pizza around park slope. I've ordered a lot of pizza from different places in the 2 years I've lived here and this place is the best- their tomato sauce tastes great, the cheese works very well, and the dough is good as well. I've got a few friends from Manhattan who've been over and say they wish they could find pizza like this where they live.

    Consistently good pizza.

The white pie and grandma slice are nice.

    No thanks.

I should preface this by saying i'm a total pizza obsessive who just moved to Park Slope from the LES, where Clinton Pizza serves what i think is the best regular old New York slice in the world, so maybe i'm spoiled. But I do like all kinds of pizzastreet pizza, thin-crust, deep-dishso long as it's good. ...which, i'm sorry to say, this pizza was not! We ordered a pie last night, and after waiting over an hour for it to arrive we were soooo disappointed. Sauce and cheese were fine but the crust was so heavy and thick and stiff that we both had jaw-aches after finishing one slice each. Sad! Definitely won't be ordering again.

    Truly Impressed

I was devastated when Pizza by the Park closed its doors b/c that was the best pizza in the neighborhood. Was surprisingly delighted by Tomato-n-Basil. Quick delivery, great deal - the veggie pizza is awesome (broc, spin, sun-dried tomatoes, etc.). Also tried the chix parm sub which was great too! Only thing, I wouldn't get the pepperoni rolls again.

The best pizza in the neighborhood.

Finally delicious pizza in park slope. Fresh mozzarella and yummy tomato sauce, thin crispy crust exactly what you want when crave a slice.
