UES resident
Walked in to eat at bar. Two seats available. I was told they were being held. Waited. Waited. No one came in. Finally given the seat to where all the seats around finished and paid. Not sure who they were holding seats for. Was also moved from ceviche bar once so a couple could be accommodated. Can't stand the manager here he pleaded with me to move. Not a good spot to go alone. Cascabel more welcoming

Way overrated
Took a chance on the positive reviews here. I had Carne Asade for $27 that had meat that tasted like what you get from Gristede's if you know what I mean. I can understand if it was $18 or something like that but not at that price. That being said, the chips, salsa and Margarita was terrific.

And I don't even like Mexican food!
This place is my new favorite on the upper east side. The ceviches are really delicious and I love the vegetarian paella. They took the eggplant off the menu, which made me cry, but I guess I'll just have to try something new. Atmosphere is lovely, service was very accommodating and friendly, and it's not outrageously expensive. Many thumbs up!!

Portions are really small but...
Went there for the third time. Excellent food. However, portions are really small. For the price there should be more on the plate.

Love this place!
We have been here twice now....and can't wait to go back again! The food is amazing and there is so much I still want to try. The carne asada and pig is amazing. One tiny complaint is the noise level in the middle room....it is sooo loud...so ask for the back room...it's a bit better. I know that's out of their control so not holding me back.

Good choice for UES
One of the better spots on the UES IMHO. It feels like you are eating in Soho. Guac was very good - so was the suckling pig entree. They have a nice thing going.

Thank you NYC!
We've been so keen to eat mexican in the States and this restaurant so far has topped our list of favourite spots. The hostess was gorgeous, the food was great (who knew pineapple and shrimp could taste so great together?), the service was top-notch and the price was very reasonable. Will be raving about this place to all my friends :)
