Excellent
I had the chicken villa roy which was very delicious, the rice was moist and good, the spanish potatoes were perfect and not to crisp like a chip like in other spanish places, the flan also great, the inside is very nice i dont know what people are complaining about its elegant with a spanish twist, maybe the people complaining should try their chicken and meat dishes for the sauce they make and not just fish because even seafood by the shore isnt that great.

Good Service But Bland Food
There are so many better places for Spanish cuisine in the city. Service is very good, but mediocre food plus tired atmosphere left me underwhelmed.

So worth it!!
Me and my wife have been coming here for years. Everything is perfect. Great martinis, great sangria, great service, great atmosphere and lastly...YES!! Great food. It's pricey but it's so worth it. Haven't had a bad meal here...ever! Food is fresh and well prepared. Try it!

Not worth it
don't know how they stay in business; food is ok, but way overpriced and the atmosphere is out of the dark ages.

Boring and pricey
Unlike some of the other reviewers here, I didn't find the food to be all that bad. I ordered fish and got a generous and fresh serving. The real problem is the unreasonable price. These days you can get tastier, more inventive and more memorable dishes prepared by celebrity chefs (Nougatine, Bar Boulud) for the same money or less. Toledo most definitely does not offer a good value. Perhaps that explains why the place was absolutely empty on a Friday night. The atmosphere is stuffy, old fashioned and uninviting -- it does nothing to enhance the culinary experience.

Go early for great service
I went on a Friday night around 6pm and there were few other diners which meant all five waiters were waiting on us hand and foot. The sangria, sole with bananas and filet were excellent. The waiters even indulged me and let me speak my horrible Spanish with them.

Nothing changed: Great food & service
This restaurant is in my neighborhood, I have been going there for a few years now, and have always been a happy customer. Yesterday evening I ordered the recommended baked sea bass, my friends Frankie and May ordered the Filet Mignon and Soft Shell Crabs. All delicious & beautifully presented. Frankie is a steak-person, but he approved the steak, and that meant a lot.
