Danish Burger. My first bite of the burger sent an oily blue cheese mixture flying from the burger onto the sleeve of my shirt and onto my wife's dress. This burger should come with a warning, or they should at least put the cheese on top of the burger instead of inside. I definitly reccommend the food here, and now I reccommend using utensils to eat all of it.

I would frequent Toast often for the excellent beer and straightforward menu. One other review mentions the Fall special that when you purchase a draft beer you get a $5.00 burger. I went to Toast for the special and when the bill came was informed that the special does not apply to any burger other than the toast Burger. This detail wasn't made clear on the menu, so I asked for the manager. Never have I been to a restaurant where the manager refused to come to a table. The waiter told me I could go to the manager, but that he wouldn't come to my table. This lack of respect for customers has ensured that I will never be back.

This is a great informal place for going out. There isn't much in my neighborhood by way of restaurants, and my husband and I come down here for dinner more often than to other places. The service is sometimes slow, but I've never had a rude waiter. The first time we were there, the waiter (had to be a student) forgot my drink order and had to confirm the meal after we ordered, but it was very busy and he apologized so sincerely that I completely let it slide and still felt like giving him a good tip. The atmosphere is hectic and loud, but what do you expect from a college hang out? I've noticed professors and families eating there, so it's not just for students. We haven't had a dinner we didn't like. Order the herb mayo with your fries and I guarantee you'll wolf them down. I'm planning on trying out the "Downtown" Toast this weekend.

I just moved to the Upper West Side and found Toast to be the perfect neighborhood place. The staff always takes good care of me and my family. The menu has a little of everything, and everything is so good. The specials keep my interest because I am there 4 to 6 times a week and really the like the fish specials. I have one complaint, that Mac n Cheese is so good and and don't have the time to go the Gym and work it off !!! Oh by the way the Frozen Margaritas are AWESOME and I usually drink Jameson. Go there and enjoy yourself you deserve it.

We hit this place everyday for a few pints and food. 3 out of the 4 barkeeps were great making the experience that much cooler. We kept coming back b/c of the employees and that pretty much sums it up. If you are close then you should stop in for a pint or some grub. Cheers.

Had an absolutely terrible delivery experience here. Was given a very hard time about not meeting the minimum total (by <2$!). Adding insult to injury, the food arrived very late (1.5 hours delivery) - had to call twice to check on the status - and when it finally arrived, was missing my drink order. Waste of time, money, and frustration. Order from somewhere else.

Consistently amazing food. Great price. chill atmosphere. what more could you want in a restaurant? oh yeah... a good selection of beers (which they have as well). I usually get the "Danish Burger" which has a hefty helping of blue cheese folded into the ground meat before it's cooked. When I'm in the mood for something less heavy, I get the smoked salmon wrap with a salad (which can be substituted for fries for no extra charge). Almost everything on the menu is priced under 10 bucks aside from the entres section. If you're looking for great food (and good beers) for a fair price check this place out for sure!
