I was impressed, better then more expensive Italian in the neighborhood, that rated much more highly on this site. Very good value for the money. The food was high quality and the service was professional and pleasant. The special appetizer was out of this world - a Burata delight. I am definitely going back to this restaurant!

My cousin moved to the UES and told me "I absolutely had to cross the park and meet her for dinner at Tiramisu." So glad I did - what amazing dishes! I ordered the spicy cajun shrimp, which is served in a crock with two slices of grilled garlic bread. Scrumptious! The shrimp and beans in a spicy tomato sauce had such flavor, that we scraped the inside of the crock with the grilled bread to get the last drop. My cousin had the ensalata alla baggio, with romaine lettuce, blue cheese, avocados and garlic dressing. Delicious! We both had the branzino special for our entree, which was served with sauteed mushrooms, baby bok choy and savory mashed potatoes. We had no room for dessert, both the appetizer and entree portions were generous, but our server suggested the bread pudding in caramel sauce. We just had to...and we are so glad we did. It was the perfect dessert, decadent. We left extremely satisfied and very full, making plans for our next dinner at Tiramisu. We had a great people-watching window seat in front. Nothing like a warming dinner with family watching the action on Third Avenue. Next time, we going to sit at the cozy table closer to the wood-burning oven. It looks so appealing. Cheers!

This is not even a good local place. The pizza is poor, the whole wheat dough tastes stale and soggy. The pizzas are salty. We also had a salad with shrimp and arugula although we asked for romaine, they did not serve us romaine. The shrimp were not fresh, dried out and over salted. Just your run of the mill, average Italian that on a better night could be acceptable.

A friend who lived nearby told me about the restaurant over 15 years ago and I have been going off and on to TiramiSu ever since even though I live quite far away in Harlem. I have never been disappointed either with the quality of food or service. Their pastas are refreshing and light and pizzas are delicious. It is very family friendly and since I recently acquired a dog found to be pet friendly as well (have to sit outside though as it is illegal to take a pet inside a restaurant.

Some of what I've had at Tiramisu has been spectacular, some of it has only been ok. The spinach gnocchi is my favorite, and in fact is one of my favorite dishes anywhere. My fiancee loves the pear ravioli, and she's quite right, it is delicious. The cornish hen was very good, but the penne a la vodka is just ok, not special at all. Also, the caesar salad is my favorite I've had any time recently. Finally, one time last month they had an amaretto creme caramel dessert special which was simply incredible. Rivals the milk chocolate crunch bar at Atlantic Grill for my favorite dessert in the city. I also disagree that the portion sizes are small; I rarely finish my entree. It is true, however, that the service can be frustrating at times.
