    Great value for money

A friend who lived nearby told me about the restaurant over 15 years ago and I have been going off and on to TiramiSu ever since even though I live quite far away in Harlem. I have never been disappointed either with the quality of food or service. Their pastas are refreshing and light and pizzas are delicious. It is very family friendly and since I recently acquired a dog found to be pet friendly as well (have to sit outside though as it is illegal to take a pet inside a restaurant.

    Best Chix Parm in Town

Tiramisu very well might have the best chicken parm in NYC, seriously.

    Know what to get

Some of what I've had at Tiramisu has been spectacular, some of it has only been ok. The spinach gnocchi is my favorite, and in fact is one of my favorite dishes anywhere. My fiancee loves the pear ravioli, and she's quite right, it is delicious. The cornish hen was very good, but the penne a la vodka is just ok, not special at all. Also, the caesar salad is my favorite I've had any time recently. Finally, one time last month they had an amaretto creme caramel dessert special which was simply incredible. Rivals the milk chocolate crunch bar at Atlantic Grill for my favorite dessert in the city. I also disagree that the portion sizes are small; I rarely finish my entree. It is true, however, that the service can be frustrating at times.

    Thank you Tiramisu- great memories!

Our family has been customers for years. When we first moved to the neighborhood our oldest daughter was four months, this fall she leaves for college! Our favorite spot is sitting in the cafe, best views of action on Third Ave & nothing better than outdoor dining on a warm spring-like day! The food and service have been consistently good, the portions are quite large, we usually end up with a take out container, which makes excellent kid's packed lunches for next day at school. Just tried the Pizza Metro, a long rectangle delicious pizza. My husband had the special shrimp & scallop appetizer, he cleaned the plate. My Chilean Sea Bass entree with barolo sauce & spinach risotto was cooked to perfection. It was the best I've ever had! We're having our daughter's graduation celebration there b/c we've had so many wonderful family meals and memories there! Also, Tiramisu is great place to take mother in law & out of town relatives ; )We'll be back soon.

A perfect meal for out of towners!

We happened upon Tiramisu after spending the day at the MoMA. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. My husband had the daily seafood special and I had the white fish with vegetables. I loved the roasted flavor of the meal.Dessert was perfect, a fall apple type pie with ice cream. The portions were fine and the seating outside was cozy. We're from out of the area(western state) and I was concerned about getting attitude from the staff. The interaction was pleasant. Many large family parties seemed to dine there along with a few couples and singles. We did not have cocktails just mineral water and that was better than NYC tap water. I would like to try their pizza for lunch next time.

    Small portions, high prices

We went by the reviews on this web site and found Tiramisu dissapointing. I have NEVER seen smaller portions, and overpaid for sangria($32.00 for a 1/2 pitcher of mostly ice) anywhere I have ever eaten. The food was good, although my pasta was way overdone. A child could eat the dinner portion and still be hungry. I do want to commend the very attentive waiters and servers- they were on top of things. I would not go back.

    Best Food on UES!

We just finished lunch at Tiramisu! Couldn't wait to get back for the ricotta spinach gnocchi. My husband had the steak special - it was so aromatic & flavorful. We arrived home from a 2 week trip to London. All I could think of on the plane was the great food & scrumptious tiramisu. We are neighborhood regulars for 10+ years. Never fails to please our whole family!
