I have enjoyed a good lunch with beer at this great place a few times. Very simple yet deliciously prepared salmon lunch I had with a good Irish beer. I look forward to going back soon.

Tir Na Nog is located in Midtown Manhattan on 8th Ave. between W. 33rd St. and W. 34th St. It is across from Madison Square Garden and is close to Penn Station. The food is great, the waitresses and bartenders have heavy Irish accents, and the female live acoustic music is the best. There are also a few TV's with sports if you're into that. The Irish atmosphere is casual and, relaxed, yet a lot of Highly recommended!

A small group of us ate here before seeing Annie one Sat. in Dec. We were 4 adults and 3 young girls. We were pleasantly surprised. First, there was a special Annie menu, and the girls were thrilled! We had lunch, and everything we ate was delicious. The service was a bit slow, but it was crowded. Love the pub atmosphere. And it was very reasonable for the city. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a good meal before a show at MSG, or anywhere in the area!

Visited here in October with a friend (from Ireland). Loved it. The food is excellent - if you have the shepherd's pie the portion is enormous - we shared one and it was delicious.

Stopped for a beer one night. such fun people. It was so crowded as an irish boxing match across the street at Madison Sq. Garden. It was packed with irish lads. Loved listening to their accents. Waitress was pleasant though so busy she hardly had time to bring us water. hopefully it isn't like that on other nights. Food was certainly decent--actually better than decent. Will definitely go back and try some of that wonderful sounding irish smoked salmon. Could turn into a hang-out place when I am in ny.
