Great Dining near Madison Square Garden

I searched the internet prior to making reservations for dinner at Tir Na Nog and had no idea how great this restaurant would be. The food and service were excellent and the maitre d' has a great personality and honored our reservation even though we were 45 minutes late. Topping it off, we had a great view of the Garden from our table. Try Tir Na Nog, you won't be disappointed!

    Well worth a visit!

Very nice lunch spot. The grilled salmon is delicious, and the scallops are perfectly done as well. Great service. WIll certainly return!

Best French Fries in New York - no kidding !

The food is tastey and the french fries have no competition anywhere. Try the grilled salmon too.

    Not recommended

Food very salty. French fries tasted fat. The cheeseburger itself was ok but fries over-salted.

    great food, great atmosphere

Had dinner there for the first time this week on our way to a Broadway Show. Great service and great food. Would highly recommend the place

Great food. A tad pricey. Worth it.

I work right by this restaurant and I have to say that there are way too many things working in its favor than against it. First off, their food is awesome, and not just for a pub, if you can even call it that. The open faced steak sandwich is probably the best steak sandwich of any kind I've ever had, and that is saying a lot. Secondly, they have over 20 beers on tap. Thirdly, the open faced steak sandwich is probably the best I've ever had. Yes, it's so good, it needs repeating. The Cons? On some visits, service has been great, but this place can be a little inconsistent. Usually you come to a restaurant to be waited on, here, at times you're the one who seems to do the waiting, which can be a bummer if you're in a rush. Overall, this place is definately worth going to, especially if your primary concern is the taste of the food (it's baffling to me how many reviewers on here seem to forget that).

    Good stuff...

i go to this place and grab a drink before my train every once in awhile and it is perfect with delicious drinks and a friendly bartender. i have also been for lunch a few times and while the host is not the most hospitable it does get crowded and some get rowdy. i definitely suggest making a reservation for lunch and dinner. and if you dont relax and grab a drink! cheers! o yeah great food and a nice price- try the salmon! and the fish and chips are awesome!
